Game Of Thrones Season 6 Discussion (Spoilers)

or did Jon transfer his katra into the wolf as many speculated.
That's a possibility in the books, since Jon occasionally saw things through Ghost's eyes in his dreams (as does Arya with Nymeria) but for whatever reason, the show chose to ignore it with those two and kept the warging exclusively to Bran.

There are also passages that hint that Rob's spirit is now living inside his wolf.
From the books, I wouldn't be surprised if the ending involved all of the children with live wolves just warging into the wolves permanently--final shot is of the pack running through the forest with Sansa on somebody's back or just hanging with them.

Nah. Everyone's gonna die. The ending will be a long panning camera shot of White Walkers mindlessly shuffling across a dead, frozen earth.

But Robb's wolf was also killed and its head attached to his body by the Freys.

What is up with the current lord Karstark? The way his scene played out, it look like he wasn't at all surprised by Ramsey killing Roose. Did Ramsey tell him he was going to kill his father if the baby is a boy? I wonder what is the payoff here. They wouldn't have had the character there if it wasn't important later.

Would you protest or even try to stop a madman like Ramsay? A guy who casually murders his own father? Roose may be the more predictable and sane character but to Karstark it doesn't really matter.. he knows he's an invaluable ally and that killing him might drive other houses away from the Boltons so he's reasonably safe for now.

Besides it's Game of Thrones.. people die all the time and those who surive always try to remain on the currently more powerful side. Trick is to switch sides at the right time ;)

...yes, you were. and it's more than just hints. It's pretty clear Nymeria is leading a pack of wolves in the no-man's-land of the midlands after all the combat has left it a wasteland. I've long assumed she'll play a small-but-key role in the end the way GRRM keeps mentioning the pack, maybe saving Arya's life at some point...

I (and others) have a theory that the direwolves mirror the situation of their Stark owners. Nymeria was roaming the Riverlands just like Arya did. Her pack represent Arya joining different groups before leaving to Bravos.
There was also the bit about Arya warging into Nymeria and pulling a certain body out of the river...

Dumb question. In Season 2, Stannis orders Davos to "smuggle" Melisandre into some cave where she gives birth to the shadow demon that kills Renly. What was the point of that? Did the demon have a limited range and it had to be created close enough to Renly's camp to reach it? Or was it just so that no one in Stannis' camp would see it happen?

Westerosi HIPAA rules clearly state that the privacy of prospective shadow demon assassin mothers must be protected at all costs, hence the remote cave.

Yeah, it was probably just a matter of getting as close to Renley's camp as possible without being spotted.

Random speculation about Hodor: maybe he lost his ability to talk the same way Bran lost his ability to walk. Bran caught Cersei and Jamie in the act, maybe Hodor caught Rhaegar and Lyanna, and was similarly attacked (Hodor = hold your [tongue], perhaps?). It would make an interesting parallel between the two characters.

Help! The other day HBO NOW automatically updated on my XBONE, and now the damn screen goes black every ten minutes when I'm playing the show! I have to bump my controller every ten minutes, it's so annoying! I couldn't find a fix in the "settings" pages...

OK, this is bizarre. Tonight I've played GOT and three movies. It goes dark on everything except one of the movies; it stayed bright the whole time for that one. WTF?

Clever idea. i like that. :techman:
