Probably because narratively he wanted it in one book. Author's prerogative.

In the books the fate of Jon Snow is unkown after he get stabbed repeatly. We can assume that he died in the books.
Was it right to resurrect Jon Snow character in GOT season 6. I feel he should have remained dead in line with other so called good guys like Eddard And Robb Stark being killed.
Do you guys think that bringing him back from the dead was an attempt by the show writers to make the show less dark? Or were they pandering to the viewers request to see him come back?

It has been said that GRRM has shared some of plot points he plans to do in the last 2 books with the showrunners. So I Think Jon Snow came back because he comes back in the books too.

Further, fans have been speculating since 2011 how he would be revived in the books, to the point that they feel like it was a given. No one was surprised he came back.
GRRM posted a new chapter on his website, and I'm sure it's not a coincidence that it's part of a storyline that the show isn't going to cover.He cracks me up...
And the last excerpt featured Sansa and was released after her rape scene with Ramsay, IIRC, also showing her to be in very different circumstances than onscreen. Also unlikely to be coincidental.
Considering what his true parentage is likely to be (and what we're likely to soon discover on-screen), it's highly improbable that Snow was ever going to stay dead for very long, in either the books or the show. He is quite clearly core to the entire main plot.
Most readers have long been aware that Jon would come back. It was always clear that the death and resurrection are meant to free Jon from his vows.
Even GRRM himself once implied in an interview that Jon's story wasn't over.
Regarding Tyrion, the scene with the dragons seems an indication to me that his parentage may be called into question, too. Taming dragons seems to be a Targaryen thing.

I agree that there's going to be a push to stop the fighting for the throne and unite against the walkers, but I don't see characters who were purely selfish in the past having a sudden change of heart. It's not that kind of show. Tyrion, Varys and Denerys could push for this, Jon Snow and Brandon will definitely push for it. If Cersei did so it would feel like a betrayal of her character. The only out I can think of there is if Tommen was pushing for it and when he dies Cersei's only care in life is to carry out her son's wishes, and I suppose Yara and Theon could push for it in the Iron Islands. Nobody is alive in Dorne who could convincingly cease to be selfish.
GoT just doesn't feel like the sort of show where everything just works out and everybody ends up happy, but it also doesn't feel like the kind of show where the walkers just come in and kill everyone. It feels like there will be a bittersweet victory. I wouldn't surprised if they unite to fight the walkers but while they're doing so Balish manages to wrest supreme control of the kingdoms, defeating the enemy of the humans but continuing the cycle of human violence and war.
I don't think Jon Snow's revival is a compromise of the show's darkness. It was all but choreographed well before it happened. The only person with the ability to come back from the dead in the show did so with magic from the lord of light, and Millisandre was not only there she showed interested in him.

Concerning Cersei it depends how the brewing civil war with The Sparrow will end.. if the prophecy holds true Tommen might die which may break her finally and she retires or even kills herself (i think her children were the only ones she truly loved).
If there are no GRRM supertwists Dany might retake control over the Dothraki once she demonstrates her power by commanding 3 Dragons and an Elite army.. with the Dothraki she can quickly pacify/retake the East and continue her plan to bring humanism to Westeros. It might be just in time because the White Walkers will probably have torn down the Wall and are moving southwards. Jon Snow might be holding them off for a while, at least long enough for the word to spread and the other houses to gear up for war.
So we have a big ass army and Dragons coming up from the East, the Houses and the North vs the White Walkers in a giant free for all.
Now this is the type of simplistic fantasy writing where finally everybody comes together to fight the biggest villain just in time.. i'm not saying that the general direction is beneath GRRM but it's too simple so there's surely some twists to come and even all main characters might not make it and the remaining ones will have to rule over a devastated, near lifeless wasteland that was formerly Westeros (which would tie in nicely with GRRM's remarks that the end would be bittersweet).
Whatever happens we will know how the main story ends in about 2 years when the show concludes but obviously the books will go into far more details and fans will have to wait for a loooong while. GoT might have forced GRRM to get off his ass and pick up the pace which is why he sat out season 5 and season 6 to concentrate on the books but who knows if he'll slack off again after the show spoils the final ending?

Ok I'm halfway through Season 4 on my rewatch. The threat of the Sparrows has still not appeared. The only time I can even remember a religious person doing anything in King's Landing is a throwaway scene in Season ?2? where Tyrion walks past a preacher and makes a joke about him. And that was a Lord of Light preacher I think. So I still contend that this High Sparrow storyline just came out of nowhere and I don't buy the incredible power they hold over everyone. Where were these guys during King Joffrey, who was absolutely terrible? Or the drunken debauchery of King Robert?
On the show, it mostly did, but in the books that's not quite the case.
Last week was so-so but this was a great episode. After waiting SIX SEASONS we FINALLY get two Stark kids back together! What a magic moment! As we draw to a close these are the things I'm looking forward to the most, the gang getting back together to face the greater threat.
And Melisandre is going to do whatever Jon Snow tells her to, which is also awesome. Things are coming together!
Also, I think this is the first episode I actually LIKED Cersei. Because she's taking action against the Sparrows, partly to save Margary who she despises, and she's compromising and working with her enemies to do so. Easily the least evil thing she's ever done. :-p
Another great moment is Tonks (Osha?) making the move to kill The Evil One but getting the tables turned on her.
