I enjoyed the latter for what it was but I don't disagree with the assessment.

It happens all the time. Not a big deal but I’m sure HBO will make it so. Probably got Interpol on the case as we speak.
They didn't intentionally leak the episode, that's nonsense.
The HD leaks have been out for two days. And yet there is a surprisingly lack of DMCA claims by HBO on YouTube, Twitter and other platforms.
It seems deliberate. I could always be wrong though.
That was a very tense finale. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. That ending is definitely going to escalate things.
That was exactly the ending I expected from the books, as it's a logical endpoint for the first season.
That said, I loved the twist in that Aemond (who is presented as a monster who actively murders Luce in the book) actually didn't intend for it to happen in the end. It helps drive the tragedy of the entire season that none of this is really any one person's fault.
You would think Aemond would have already learned the lesson of: “it’s all fun and games, until someone loses an eye”.
Losing control of his war machine dragon and killing your nephew. Aemond just ignited this war.
We all knew this was coming, but I was sad to see it.
I suspect season 2 with have the conquest of Harrenhal, the battle of Rook’s Rest, the crimes of Blood and Cheese and the introduction of Cregan Stark and Jeyne Arryn. If they push things, Rhaenyra could sit the throne by season 2’s end.

That Dragon that Daemon approached in the cave is reported to be Vermithor.
Arrax was far smaller than Vhagar in the scene that we saw.

That was a really good finale, especially that dragon fight at the end.
But Aemond kinda did look like he was about to say "Oh Fudgesicle!" And that made it kinda funny
Neither! They both just started a war over power. Though the show does go to some lengths to morally upgrade quite a few of the characters when compared to the source material.
In real life Medieval Times people didn't have strict categories when it came to dragons/wyverns/worms. What they called dragons could take any shape of the ones you posted, or even stranger ones. Words like wyvern and (great) worm/wyrm were sometimes used regionally (and especially for heraldry), but they were never completely or cleanly cleanly from dragons, many European languages that have dragons in thier mythology don't even have a word for Wyvern.
It was only DnD that strictly separated them into different things, and that bled over into a lot of fantasy inspired by it.
And, in additon to that, in the Song of Ice and Fire universe giant, fire-breathing reptiles with two legs and two wings are Dragons, as established by the creator of that universe, GRRM.
