Funny/Relaxing Episodes?

I like ENT and wanted to watch some more relaxing/funny/fun episodes, but I can’t seem to remember many (unlike I can with TOS, TNG, and DS9, episodes like Trouble with Tribbles and Toke Me Out to the Holusuite).

I guess Breaking the Ice comes to mind. Any suggestions?

I think Carbon Creek is fun to watch.

First Flight is predicated on the death of a character we only meet in that episode so not the happiest framing story but the actual memories shared by Archer are a neat little three act adventure with some light-hearted moments. Plus everything gets wrapped up with a touching but not maudlin ending.

I think their all-out comedy episode would have been Season 6 :wah: but they did have funny scenes in otherwise serious episodes.

Hoshi teaching Archer to insult like a Tellarite in "Babel One." I just adore that scene.

Phlox had a lot of funny bits, no doubt because John Billingsley is a great actor with terrific comic timing. What was the episode where they woke him from hibernation? And I thought the entire Engineering sequence in "Doctor's Orders" as Phlox and T'Pol try to go to warp was a scream. T'Pol's expressions!

"A Night in Sickbay" previews presented it as a comedy, so I think this one came close to their "Trouble With Tribbles" attempt. If you watch the episode with that it mind, Archer's sleep deprivation, chasing the bat, duelling treadmills, Phlox trimming his nails... I laughed, it worked for me. (When I wasn't agonizing over Porthos in Sickbay.) But the comedy aspect was idiosyncratic, and too many viewers just hated it.

The Tribunal scene from "Precious Cargo" is the highlight of the episode for me-- "Does your culture observe any postmortem rituals?" I think it was an homage to the screwball comedies of the 30s, so meant to be lighthearted.

"Singularity" had some funny stuff as everyone started going nuts. Reed Alert, the captain's chair, Phlox and Travis's headache.

Tucker trying to get T'Pol on the horse in "North Star." I made about 20 avatars with screencaps from that scene, because of the great facial expressions.

Every Shran scene in "Proving Ground" - from his snarking with T'Pol at the beginning, to "The Andorian Mining Consortium runs from no one." :guffaw:One of the funniest lines in the whole show, delivered pitch perfect by Jeff Combs.

I agree about "Acquisition." Wonderful casting and goofball stuff. The fun about Ferengi is how hilarious they are by design, the way they see the galaxy through the lenses of avarice and oomox. No wonder ENT used them. :mallory:

Enterprise didn't really have that many fun episodes, and I felt they tried too hard with Acquisition and A Night in Sickbay is dumb. However, if you want relaxing episodes, A night in Sickbay could be considered a fun romp depending on what you want. I also thought the Spiner parts of the Augment trilogy were fun, even if that arc was more serious.

A Night in Sickbay is dumb, but it's definitely funny. If you just want to chill and watch some lowbrow Trek, it'll work for you. It's good for watching while drinking, because it gets sillier as it goes.

Watching A Night in Sickbay while high or Drunk might actually improve the overall experience of both.

Can't vouch for "high" because weed doesn't really seem to affect me and nothing else is legal right now. But its third-grade level gags (Phlox's tongue, dogs peeing on things, T'Pol's random wardrobe malfunction, Archer's chainsaw ritual) get pretty funny after a couple of beers.

'North Star' has its fun moments when they lean into the whole Western vibe, I come back to that episode relatively frequently because it's a pretty wacky one.

'Home' is fairly relaxing after all the Xindi/Temporal Cold War drama, the whole episode gives the characters some time to take a deep breath and take stock of things.

~ I came here to suggest "Precious Cargo", too. A lot of people seem to despise it, but it's a fun, light-hearted episode that still makes me laugh even after the fiftybillionth rewatch :guffaw:

I'd like to suggest the new Star Trek short cartoon that was released on Star Trek.com Trip returns in it and they make fun of Tatv in a real clever way .And other holodeck shows. It's called Holodecks down below.

Yeah I agree with "Carbon Creek." I think "Dead Stop" is quite fun and I like it comes straight off the back of "Minefield." I have a soft spot for "Cold Front" and "Future Tense", "Cold Front" especially if you think of it as Daniels as the bad guy and Silik as the good guy. What about "Observer Effect"? I've never seen it but that sounds pretty self-contained and a bit TOS-ish.

~ I quite agree - and I have seen it several times. Despite what happens to Hoshi and Trip, we know they'll be okay as they're in the main cast, so I have no qualms about finding humour in the Organians roaming the ship and conversing amongst themselves as they swap bodies. Except for Organian Malcolm's lechery towards that female crewman. Ick!
