Funniest Lines/Moments

Every scene with Seven of Nine in "Infinite Regress".

I can't recall the exact quote but when Seven is talking to Naomi and she says she hates Borgs had me rolling.

Some but not every. I mean at the end when she started yelling and all, it was getting annoying. Personally I think they made the final scene a little bit too long.

In my mind I always associate the ending of that episode with that of Chakotay's boxing episode.

But I agree that the scene where she wanted to mate with B'Lana for example was definitely funny.

Actually there were funny lines with other characters too. Yep I loved it when she bit B'Elanna.

To be fair, I'll call Voyager's sense of humor...subtle.

Funniest lines for me are when Tuvok plays the straight man "The Oracle of K'Tal isnt programmed to wear pajamas'.

This is funny.....for Voyager. It's pretty relative. Harry and Tom could have done much better with this, but maybe I live in a really dysfunctional world where practical jokes are concerned and this is a family show.

Voyagers sense of humor makes me feel like I should be chuckling reservedly over a cup of tea, not snorting into my beer.

Yes he plays the straight man quite well with Tom as the one making the jokes, as in Future's End or Worst case scenario.

he would say things like:

"Regardless of your feeble attempt at humor it would seem that Seska has programmed the crew to torture us..."

My sense of humor is more like Seska's than Tom's, drawing the line at sadism. If I were in Seska's position, I would have played the 'Worst Case Scenario' scenario up to the moment they thought they were totally ****ed, and then dropped a silly bomb. Like Janeway in a sombrero or something similarly stupid.

Seska was a genuine villain, though, when she hated someone she hated them to death.

We don't all express our sense of humor in the best ways. Maybe it's the thought that counts.

Instead of Fav lines... this is a fav funny moment.

Infinite Regress AKA Seven of Nine does Sybil.

Seven is channeling a Ferengi and is trying to buy the Astrometrics screen from Janeway. They trick the "Ferengi" into going to sickbay for treatment of a fictious flu along with a free Starfleet medical exam.

As the "Ferengi" tries to leave Astrometrics, Seven turns left and Janeway just reaches out and pulls her right.

Ah... I've found it!

After watching the full clip, I have to admit it contains SEVERAL of my fav funny moments!:guffaw:

Speaking of fav moments lines, I love this exchange between Chak and Janeway about Seven's multiple personalities.

Janeway has just walked onto the bridge.

CHAKOTAY: Meet anyone interesting?
JANEWAY: (Talking like this is just an everyday occurrence on Voyager) Just finished swapping jokes with a Bolian manicurist. Before that, I was debating the finer points of temporal physics with a Krenim scientist. Twelve new personalities have surfaced in the past hour alone. (Then her voice stops 'joking" and she's the concerned Captain again) Seven's having a rough time of it. The Doctor had to sedate her.

Still probably better than the drivel he writes though...
I take it that you don't like the Doctor.

Yeah.... I just probably stop mentioning that so often. I think by now everybody has gotten the memo. I don't want it to get annoying. Sorry bout that ;)

On topic:

It's not a line, but the scene where Tuvok tries to make himself snap and let his anger out. His method to do just that: a holographic Neelix bugging him relentlessly.

Correct me if I am wrong but I beleive that's from Meld. Tuvok wasn't exactly himself in that episode.

Here's another funny scene, from "Meld":

TUVOK: Mister Neelix.
NEELIX: Yes?
TUVOK: Do you think you could possibly behave a little less like yourself?

I like the scenes between Tuvok and Neelix.

I also like Paris's comments from time to time, like this one from "Time And Again:

LATIKA: Yeah? Well I just talked to the transport attendant, He told me four people came today from Kalto. Two of them were a lot older than you and they had a child with them.
JANEWAY: Well the attendant was wrong. That was us.
LATIKA: So, where's the child?
PARIS: We ate him, because we are demons and we eat children and I haven't had my supper yet.

And this one from "Parturition:

NEELIX: This creature is our responsibility.
PARIS: Ours?
NEELIX: The moment we came in here, it became our responsibility.
PARIS: And you expect to take care of this thing until what? It graduates from high school, college?

And this one, from "Cathexis":

EMH: What would that mean? That I am in command?
JANEWAY: No, but you will act as a failsafe. If you feel at any time that any one of us are under the influence of the alien, you can countermand our orders and take control of the ship. Do you feel up to it?
EMH: Well, of course. I make life and death decisions every day.
PARIS: I feel better already!

And his comments about Culluh in "State Of Flux"

CULLUH [on viewscreen]: You will prepare for my arrival.
(Transmission ends.)
PARIS: Friendly sort.
:)

Otherwise, The Doctor often has the best lines. I just love his sarcastic comments from time to time. Not to mention his: "I'm a doctor, not a....."

From The Raven:

SEVEN: Oral consumption is inefficient.
EMH: And unnecessary, if you're lucky enough to be a hologram. But your human physiology requires it. I'll draw up a list of nutritional requirements. Take it to Mister Neelix in the mess hall. I hesitate to inflict his cooking on you but it'll have to do.

The doctor puts a humorous spin on pretty much everything.

Tinker tenor Doctor Spy:

Doctor on the Bridge:

Janaway: Tell them that we'll defend ourselfs that, they won't get what the're after.

Doctor: "We'll...Defend ourselfs...They won't get what they're after.

---Awkward silence---

Doctor: I mean, YOU! YOU won't get what YOU're after! Not in a million years! Not if i have something to say about it.

Janaway: Don't improvise Doctor.

Doctor: Sorry.

Later....

Alien:
THIS IS MY FINAL WARNING!

Doctor: hãã... Don't.. Don't RUSH ME!

Tuvok, too, can have nice lines. There's still some doubt in my mind whether he is serious or just has a wicked, undercooled sense of humor in the following scene (even though I know I'm 'supposed' to believe the first):

<State of Flux -- It has just been revealed that Seska is a Cardassian undercover agent and Chakotay asks Tuvok if he ever suspected anything when he was in the same Maquis crew: >

C: Can l ask you to be honest with me, Lieutenant?

T: As a Vulcan, l am at all times honest, Commander.

C: That's not exactly true. You lied to me when you passed yourself off as a Maquis to get on my crew.

T: l was honest to my own convictions within the defined parameters of my mission.

C:You damned Vulcans and your defined parameters. That's easy for you.

T:On the contrary, the demands on a Vulcan's character are extraordinarily difficult. Do not mistake composure for ease. How may l be honest with you today?
