Well it looks like my predictions all came true (though we'll have to wait and see if Landry ends up on the East Dillon football team).
Though in a state where football is king, would the school really have forced out a coach who had been to the state championships two out of three years (and won it his first year)? And even if they had, wouldn't some other school have been quick to snatch him up instead of being "banished" to a school that's reopening its doors after however many years?
Excellent episode. If this had been the season finale, it would have been very satisfying. It was still very satisfying.
It is obvious what is going to happen next season. Eric will coach East Dillion and they will end up destroying the Dillion Panthers and make it to state and win then all those who voted against him will hang their head in shame and eat humble pie as they ask him to return to the Panthers for the fifth season.
As for the town turning on Eric... it doesn't seem that impossible seeing how quickly they turn on everyone that doesnt win. Combine that with the fact that Eric left them before (which might make other schools gunshy), and his wife would rather spend money on education than football...
