Frasier revival

OK, are we EVER going to have an episode that does not specifically reference Cheers / OG Frasier?

I don't recall seeing any "specific reference" to Cheers/OG Frasier in the latest episode unless you are counting the vague reminder of his failed marriage to Lilith?

I'd wondered if they'd ever do farce comedy around Frasier's romantic life, which was so much a part of the original. They delivered.

There were several nods to the original series, as there are in every episode. Some are explicit in dialogue, others are bits of business.

One was Frasier automatically moving to the living room light panel to adjust the mood lighting when his date arrives - and realizing that his new apartment isn't set up that way.

Another was the suggestion that there be two dinners served and Frasier could dash back and forth from one to the other while Freddy played personal chef, to which Frasier responded that it was ridiculous - well, oh yes, there as a time when he would have...but no.

But my favorite moment is when his scheming all falls apart: he's talking to Freddy in the kitchen and the women overhear him from the living room and enter to catch him bribing Freddy.

It was a rather preposterous conceit of the original show that no matter what transpired in the adjacent living room and kitchen of his apartment, no one in one room could overhear what went on in the other.

OH that. I was a bit weirded out by how casual Freddie was about his failed relationships considering his mother was among them...

I'm starting to wonder if Lilith isn't living in the Boston area now or Freddie would have mentioned dinner with his mother or something?

Still Loving the show so far. People who dismissed it after the first couple episodes or the fact there is no Niles etc....are missing out. The show is finding it's footing quickly...

Fraiser saying.... "I still got it"...had me smiling. We did need more Alan in the last episode though...lol

It's been great having Kelsey Grammar back as Frasier....my only complaint is that they are only doing 10 episodes. I hope that like Fuller House, they make more episodes for the second season. I doubt the show will get 11 seasons. But that is ok. As far as I'm concerned this is season 12....:D

Best episode of the season! I laughed a lot. The writing was on point. Every joke landed. Every scene worked. The banter was witty and smart. All the characters had great comedic timing. Frasier and Lilith were the stars of course. But I think Allen steals the show.

I loved the recurring gag of Lilith not remembering Allen. I laughed out loud when Allen shows up in the white suit and white fedora to try to jog her memory. They keep making jokes about the white suit and Lilith gets the best line: "are you going to invite us to Jurassic Park?" LOL. Lilith was great in the episode. She had that same dry wit. Loved everyone being very submissive to her, even the owner of the bowling alley.

And then the last scene with Frasier and Lilith in Freddy's room was quite touching when they got serious for a bit and talked about their bickering. And then the episode ends on another funny moment when Freddy and the girl walk in on Frasier and Lilith making out on his bed. LOL. The post credit scene with Allen in the white suit and black cat like a Bond villain was also great. What a great episode!

"Welcome us to Jurassic Park!" For a certain type of nerd - me - it was even funnier because Cheers went off the air a few weeks before JP premiered.

A criminal lack of Olivia, but I adored David in this episode. When he called Lilith "aunt"! OMG! Amazing that they make HER the sympathetic one but she really is kind of a monster, isn't she?

"I'm only joking. I never watched your show," might have been my favorite line.

Jack Cutmore-Scott might actually be underrated. And he's English?

I'll go to my grave thinking a "Fraiser and Lilith" show could be the greatest thing ever.
