Frasier revival

I'm really enjoying it. Looks like Alan will be the breakout character of the show for sure ..

That bit where Alan and Frasier were building on terminology like a game of telephone, felt an awful lot like dialogue from Yes Minister.

Freddie's "tirade" at his father threatening to quit Harvard was my favorite non- Eve bit.

David is not quite catching fire.
The scene where he loses it over Eve being in class was kind of the first glimmer for me of him being OK. And him pouring the dirt out into the plant last week was just funny.

Watched episode 3 last night. It didn’t hurt that I’d consumed most of a nice bottle of red wine but enjoyed it a lot. It just seems to be hitting a nice groove, the actors and characters are gelling and the dialogue zings along like you’d hope. I was initially in the camp that thought it should probably be a limited series but now I hope the show sticks around.

And didn't Frasier say his father was dead on Cheers?
Indeed, he did. That bit was was brought up and retconned on Fraiser when Sam visited Seattle and met Martin.

I also visited the “Cheers” bar in Boston back awhile ago, and found it disappointing.

As to a “Frazier 2.0”, I dunno…

The Original really did fire on all thrusters, and I fear being disappointed with a new one.

Still, I won’t know until I see it…plus, no Niles?

Update;

I almost blew it off after the first episode.
They should have made the second episode, first!

Watched the second episode (yes I'm behind) and ugh, this one was a bore and seemed to fall to typical sitcom writing. The whole bit with the firefighters didn't work for me at all and seemed to drag on. Also most of the jokes didn't land for me. It almost felt like Frasier had stepped into a completely unrelated sitcom. It's the kind of writing I was exactly worried about.

Arctic Circle: "Oh. Sorry, Fredrick." I'm CRYING.

Wait, suddenly Freddie WANTED to be playing sports?

I might have to go watch first season Frasier but was there a Cheers callback in EVERY episode? (I don't recall that there was.)

"A meth lab full of Yankees fans." A cheap shot but I still cheered.

"Take that Occam's Razor."

"She's an angel." I'm very annoyed at how hard that made me laugh.

Best episode so far IMHO. Something for everyone to do.

I don't think so. And from what I remember, if they did use callbacks, they were a lot more laid back about it, and only if it directly served the plot.
