For those who love ALL trek

I agree. I've been watching the last two seasons of Enterprise and enjoying it. Maybe I'm parched, or watching without the hysteria surrounding those seasons is just what the Doctor ordered.

"The soulless minions of orthodoxy have hounded my work and plagued my existence.”

Off topic I know, but I love this quote. I think I'll use that as a nickname for the clowns who canned the StarTrek.com staff: The soulless minions of orthodoxy.

I enjoy all five/six series and all of the movies. Each one had some misfires, but each one had some moments of sheer brilliance.

I am one of those people as well. I have some issues with Voyager, but I still watched the show religiously and got the pricy DVD sets when they appeared in the stores. I now have all seasons of Trek on DVD, and when I moved out of my parent's house I left behind roughly 300 official video releases of everything from TOS up to ENT season 1, which cost me a ridiculous amount of money over the years. One day I hope to sell that to some crazy collector.

I'm still bitter since Enterprise went down though...
I second that. It struck a nerve with me when it got cancelled as it hit it's stride.
I'm the opposite, thinking of the time I read that news STILL brings an evil grin to my face.

That's my happiest Enterprise memory.

I appreciate Ent for allowing me to understand bashing.

Who are you, and let it be known.
Well, I'm sorry. I'm very near loving all Trek, but, bluntly, there's one thing that simply cannot be tolerated, and that's the sorry part played by Ensign Taggert. Nothing against the actor, nothing against his writing, nothing against the directing, but clearly this lone element in all of Star Trek's many incarnations cannot possibly be tolerated by the sensible viewer. Nope. They're just that far off.

I must be a fan, cuz I would even sit through one of the series or movies I don't like !! (I also enjoy the occasional read of a good Star Trek novel).

Regards

I love it all. I know not every episode has been gold. That's the nature of things. But I can say with total honesty, that every series has given me loads of enjoyment, comfort when I've been down, and something to think about to excersize my mind. To me, not liking a particular series of Star Trek would be like a father not liking a particular child. Even when they dissapoint you or don't live up to their potential, you never stop loving them.

I've been a Trek fan from the time of 10 years old(going back many years)and can't ever foresee not beign one.I cannot believe Paramount has chosen to fire the StarTrek.com staff and essentially will let the site rot away or pull the plug on it.I'm super pshyced about the new movie, but the abandonment of StarTrek.com has left me feeling like we're losing something that'll never be replaced.

I like all the series to varying degrees - certainly enough to spend thousands of dollars on DVDs, anyway.

I think some of the series are better than others...and I think some have aged better than others. But each has it's place...and the Trek Universe needs each one, IMO.

My love for even my favourite series has limits... and that's the big one. ;)

I like all the shows, they've got severe problems and redeeming traits - some more than others, truth be told. But even Enterprise, to which I am the most indifferent, turned out a lot of okay and good, entertaining hours of TV in the end.

I enjoy them all. Because of this, I am very disappointed that there is no "Scene It?" game specifically on Star Trek. With ten movies and so many TV episodes there is no good reason that there isn't a Trek version of this popular game.

I love all of Star Trek (so far), which consists of 6 series and 10 films. I'm also amazed at how solid the continuity has been (so far).

I never really thought about it, but you've got a point there. I mean they have a Harry Potter Scene It for the Prophets' sake.

A James Bond "Scene It?" too. Maybe they'll have one by the time Star Trek 2008 comes out... I'm sure CBS/Paramount won't miss any opportunity to cash in their side of the franchise, assuming J.J. Abrams' film becomes the mainstream hit everybody thinks it will... Anyone remember Trivial Pursuit's VHS game, mostly TOS based?

I'm another person who liked them all to varying degrees, but I did like them all. I would sit through any episode of any series that came on.

I've watched all series - including every episode of Enterprise and all of the movies. We all have our favorite series. Mine are TOS, DS9, and TNG. But for the ones that catch more criticism, I will mention some strong points they had:

Voyager - took the Borg content to a new and interesting level. Voyager also did a nice job in bringing back a regular Vulcan character in Tuvok. Voyager was good with shows about humor (the Chaotica episode is hilarious) and ironically, horror.

Enterprise - did a wonderful job with their Andorian content, a race long, long neglected by the other series. The Manny Cotto episodes are a noteworthy addition to Trek itself and like Voyager, we got a good Vulcan character in T'Pol. We got to see a lot more of Vulcan itself and the 'interspatial' political situations with the Vulcans, Orions, Andorians, and Tellarites was very interesting. Only wish we could have seen a lot more of that. Finally the Enterprise itself was a very cool lookng ship.
