Spoilers First Reviews

Toxic fandom was in force all the way back then as well, and this was described as being, "The Love Boat in space." Having a bald Captain just fueled those kinds of comments. "This will just be The Love Boat in space. Star Trek is ruined."

Followed a few years later by...

"You can't do Star Trek on a space station! Star Trek is ruined."

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The only thing that ever changes is the title of the show.
This is true. I personally loved the Space Station idea. The addition of the Defiant a few years later made it even better.

E1 is great! None of the characters were as annoying as I feared, all were better than expected, it looks beautiful and has a very moving scene already. The one thing that I didn't like that much was that some of the conversations between two characters were too slow and drawn out. But things made sense, fit together nicely, and the eastereggs are nice to see and just as easy to ignore in most cases for those who don't care about them. I would say it's better than Disco and half of SNW. The music also stood out, there is a song choice that moved me to tears. AMA :D
It’s good to hear that you enjoyed the first episode! I have like a million questions, but for now I’ll keep it to: Do we learn the name of the female cadet that swallows her badge? I already want to give her a hug for all the grief she’s getting in those preview scenes.

Send them in a direct message tomorrow XD
No, so far she only appeared in that scene.
The bridge crew is introduced by name one by one.
Oh, okay. So I guess this scene is not from the first episode then?

No, that's a later one.

Many people's favorite scene, even if they hate the rest of the episode, will be the intro:

TOS 1701 -> A -> D -> Defiant -> Voyager -> NX-01 -> Disco -> SNW 1701 -> Star Trek 60
Ooh, interesting! When you say intro you mean as in title sequence, or a new bumper that plays before the episode even starts? Something specifically for Star Trek’s 60th anniversay, I guess?

Probably to not spoil its beautiful reveal scene. The other missing ships might be in the other episode openings (I at least hope so). But even without those, it's such a great opener!

Hmmm… wonder if the card is just for the pilot or if this is a Trek first and they’ve gotten rid of the opening titles. That would be something.

Thanks!

That music might be the end credits, there is no main theme (just a brief title on a waving flag)
Amazon Prime's house style for several years has been having the "opening credits" before the end credits, a la many recent films.

PICARD season 3 and S31 did the same. So I'm guessing here the main episode ends, then you have the "opening credits" with one theme, and then the closing credits with a different theme...

TV Line about that 5th episode:

Living hologram SAM (Kerrice Brooks) tries to enroll in a particular class mid-semester and must prove her worth with a research project that sends her down a historical rabbit hole to learn more about Captain Benjamin Sisko. It's an episode with as many "Deep Space Nine" Easter eggs as a typical "Lower Decks" episode — as well as some "Lower Decks" Easter eggs

They also say a Brikar will appear, and the co-runner said a Cardie will show up.

^ I really doubt it. My guess is that what others have theorized is true: Only the first episode won’t have a title sequence, but later installments will. I could be wrong, but I think a series like this practically screams for a title sequence.
