Another spy pic. They're wearing the "All Good Things" badges!!!!
Not only that but has anyone noticed the civilian clothes look like something that might have been used on the old shows. No pockets! Even the hairstyles seem kind of retro from the past. I feel I am about to have a fan orgasm!

Poor old Picard looks very confused in that pic like he doesn't know where he is.
Academy uniforms were red only, correct? And the people in question look to be significantly older than cadets.
He's probably at Starfleet HQ though. Seems busy after all.
Not quite. Similar, but from what we’ve seen crucial details are different.
"Cadet Mitena Hiro" in "Allegiance" (TNG) wore gold. I think everyone in Nova Squadron were Cadets training to be on the Command Track. So that's why they wore red.
They might. The FC Uniforms carried through to at least Nemesis (four years after the war ended), but these new uniforms tell me Starfleet is trying to get back to the way it was before the war.
In Real Life: I think the creators of Picard want to distance themselves from the TNG Movies. Since Nemesis left such a bad taste in most people's mouths, I don't think they want to remind anyone of that.
Unfortunately DSC had original showrunners with a diametrically opposed view: Let's change everything to the point of unrecognizability with TOS while at the same time calling it a prequel to TOS.
I'm convinced it was conceived as a reboot and has been awkwardly smooshed into a "visual reboot" messy thing which works a lot better if you watch it like a reboot.

Wasn't Fuller's original idea an anthology series taking place at multiple points in the prime universe timeline?

these uniforms look abit like the FC-NEM uniforms but with coloured shoulders (not grey) and yes I think u right the creative team will want to evoke TNG series as opposed to the movies (thanks to Ins/Nem) - Gen was practically TNG series anyway in look/uniforms.. FC will no doubt get referenced a few times in talking etc as they know everyone still loves that movie
