It depends on their POV is my only point. It is not readily apparent what type of connection was implied in the initial post, which may have caused the dispute. But, I'm sure I'm just assuming again
You kept asking if the uniforms were from the Kelvin universe, several people have said no. The Hobus event created the Kelvin universe, but branched from there. Prime (our) Spock would simply have seemed to have given his life to save everyone from Picard's point of view. It'll be mentioned briefly in the pilot, then move on to dealing with the fallout this side of the branch with the Romulan Empire falling apart.
You know I don't believe that, King, since I don't think the movies connect well with TOS canon, but I respect your opinion. The creators of the movie Star Trek, developed a Comic book called "Countdown", costumes from ST Picard looked quite accurate, the series places itself during the Romulan crises based upon Spock Prime's mind meld. A prequel doesn't have to mean it's in the same universe, what I'd written was clear.
That isn't an opinion, it's fact based on what we see in the movies There is a picture of the TMP Era crew in Star Trek Beyond, solidifying the connection. The Kelvin Timeline is an alternate reality, it doesn't need to connect well. Your post on the other hand is an opinion. If it was, so many people wouldn't be confused.
So why ask if there's a link if you're making up your own canon, anyway? I don't think Discovery fits as a prequel to TOS but I get that it's the official continuity.
I commend your supplier on the quality of their medicinal herbs. This is prime Picard - that's the start and end of it.
It's good to know where the parents of the franchise is going with this Picard series; I can now fully get more on what Nero was going through in the movie Star Trek. Indeed. Indeed, since I wrote it clearly. Are we now calling Jean-Luc Picard, prime Picard now??? I hope not. I'd rather simply call him Jean-Luc Picard.
Warning for Flaming, comments to PM. I'd have been inclined to let this go with a friendly, as @STEPhon IT was being so confrontational, but you've already got a history for flaming this poster, so you really should know better. @STEPhon IT , I strongly suggest dropping this whole line of discussion. @JoeZhang ...good move editing that last post.
It's called a miscommunication . Usually occurs by accident and is not intentional. It was not clear from first reading and I appreciate your clarification. Regardless, I trust we'll never miscommunicate again. That seems reasonable
Please tell me that's the "Dress Uniform" for a Ensign where he's on public duty and not the main uniform? So many area's where I can nit-pick the design changes from TNG/DS9/VOY era. If that is a "Cadet Uniform", I'd be ok with that!
Sure, the clarification was posted as I originally wrote it and what other posters mentioned of the events based on what was seen in the movie Star Trek supported it. No problem, next time I'll have to bring up Spock Prime's mind-meld and other things to those who may have forgotten the connections in the movie Star Trek.
