they can resign, but FIFA nay FOOTBALL has to change financially. all this shit about ticket prices, well 20 is plenty. Football is run like the oil and gas industry or food retailing, on high sales and high volume. i dunno how to solve it, but then given human nature FIFA's fuck ups were inevitable.

Looks like several FIFA officals have been arrested on suspision of corruption and taking bribes. Obvioulsy it's tooo early to say if any charges will stick and Blatter the FIFA president is not amongest those arrested but where should FIFA go from here?

No two ways about it now, the bidding process was a farce, Blatter was in charge.

Oh well they're not going to rerun the process now, for better or worse 2018 will still be Russia, things have gone very quiet on the Qatar front though, that one seriously can't still go ahead can it? Forget the corruption it's still the stupidest place for a football tournament!

I think they should be forced to cancel both competitions. Rerun the Qatar process by all means, but binning the competition in 2018 completely would be ideal - hit FIFA where it hurts, in the pocket !

Nice to see athletics is as corrupt as football !

I really don't like Seb Coe, never have, but I've always thought he was a pretty straight up guy. If he isn't implicated (this happened while he was a senior official there) he's got a big job to do to clean up the IAAF...

Aaaaand Coe's starting to look compromised too. He's a paid rep for Nike, which at least looks like a conflict of interest - there's an email showing he was talking to Nike about the staging of the World Athletics Championships in 2021. It went to Eugene in Oregon (Nike's home town), with no bidding process - much to the annoyance of Gothenburg.

It's looking like he's got some questions to answer...

Well Blatter and Patini have bith been handed eight year bans banning them from football related activety.
