Thanks! It was sad, but not unexpected. When I first met her cats almost a year ago, Maya was clearly not very healthy. She hardly ever moved from one spot, didn't clean herself very well, and had really bad dry skin and dandruff. She didn't have the best quality of life, and had lived much longer than any other cat I've known.
In fact, every cat I or any of my friends has owned was either given away for various reasons, passed from disease, or ran away. This is the first I've known that passed from natural causes.
Tonight I bought her one of those feathery catnip toys on a string and a stick. She seems to really like jumping around and catching it. But still wants a treat for entertaining me.
LOL, that petting chart SOOOOO does not apply to one of my cats.

Some cats, including one of the ones I have now, love a gentle belly-scratching.
But Life with/out a Cat is right on target.
Thanks! We knew right away what to name them when we saw two twin brothers with yellow eyes at the rescue shelter. Had we not gotten them, one of the employees was going to adopt Data and we couldn't bear to let them be separated. They're very clearly brothers and are quite inseparable, as you can see.![]()
Oh, and we think there may be hope for Banshee to be out of the diaper someday. After I took off her diaper yesterday, she went to the litter pan and squatted for a minute. Nothing happened, but shortly thereafter I had to clean off some "Klingons". So we think she knows when she has to go, but doesn't have the muscle control yet.
^Same with our cat. She even loves it when I grab her muzzle, pull her around with her legs, and all that.
