The classic Star Trek velour uniforms and mini dresses.
Classic Trek is still the best.
I loved the Deep Space Nine uniforms; its a nod to the jumpsuits from "This Side of Paradise", a great Trek episode, and it was a departure from TNG outfits. It represented this new cast of heroes who would be going no where and they would have to jump in and walk through the mud to get stuff done. I've always adored the slim fit Next Gen outfits because it was young and sexy; for me slim fit was always Trek-- to show the full figure of Star Fleet officers and a cast member couldn't cheat on their diets.I love the TOS uniform, except for those jumpsuits crewman wore. Second fav would be the all black w/colored shoulders from DS9 & VOY, 3rd would be the ones that replaced those.
Imagine poor Troi for most of Next GenYou have no idea how many times I've been sat at a computer in normal gravity all day like most of the crew of Enterprise and then thought to myself "Damn, I wish I was wearing a one piece flight suit right now! There's nothing better than needing to undress from the knees up just to have a dump!".
They weren't practical for anyone aside from the engineers.
I don't think that other than being blue there's much resemblance.![]()
.
That's for Captains. Those are flight suits. But you're right, it wouldn't make sense for the Engineers in Star Trek to wear them either, since they never seem to rip their clothes or get any grease, dirt or paint on them.
How are they impractical? It's a simple shirt and slacks combo.Although impractical my favourite uniforms have always been the TOS versions!
That "most current" was last seen 16 years ago.My favorite is probably the most current. Colored shirt under black jacket with grey shoulders.
Not sure how that translates as being impractical as uniforms. As I said, it's a basic pullover and slacks combo. Is it all that different than this?Well for one they shrink during a wash (well the first and second season versions did) and they didn't seem to fit with this day and age version of a uniform! But they are my favourite outfit in Trek so I'm not knocking them as such!
