You can trust your car to the man who wears the star....

Mmmm, Pretty. That's back when Endeavour was new and clean.
I'd like to know with all of the billions of Dollars spent on the Shuttle program. Why they never budgeted a wash crew between flights. At the end of the program all of the shuttles were grimy and dirty. And one of the things they did when they rolled Atlantis into it's new home at the Visitor's Center was to give it a power wash. And now it looks all clean and new.

Second Place, after TNG 3-7...

A necessary tie, as we are all here female and male!

^ What are those uniforms that Harry and Tom are using? They're not dress unis, I know that much.

Nothing official about them or that they're even uniforms as such. It's just the get up that Tom and Harry devised for their participation in the obstacle course race in Drive, that turned rather dangerous because of political disagreements between some of the alien participants.

My favorite star trek uniforms is Star Trek: First Contact to Nemesis & DS9 season 5-7

They were awesome.

The thing is the ST:FC/late DS9's jackets were optional. When they took them off, they kinda looked like modernized TOS uniforms.

And another honorable mention.

The reason that Atlantis looked bad was that there was no money to give her a good clean. Actually, that shuttle escaped being scrapped as she was supposed to be retired long before the shuttle ending and used as a parts hulk. Indeed, she nearly never made it up on the last flight as NASA only had the money and permission from the Senate to launch shuttles as far as STS-134 with Endeavor as the shuttle launching. However, in a rare show of defiance, NASA told everyone to get Atlantis ready and that they'd launch the bird anyway - which they did on STS-135. It should be noted the main reason the three remaining shuttles looked bad on the final few flights was also down to safety issues. It was decided that they'd concentrate on safety and not making them look shiny.

Incidentally, when NASA asked Christopher Ferguson, the mission commander, for his report, he signed Atlantis as "fully operational and fit to fly". Unlike the other shuttles, NASA has kept the old girl in as much an operational condition as possible just in case...

As for the uniforms, I vote the ST II - VI era ones as they looked very naval

I followed the shuttle program from Day One. And the tiles were always dirty. But inside the wheel wells, cargo bay and interior, everything always looked brand new.
As for the pic upthread of futureVoyager. Old fart number one looked OK in her red. But old fart number two looked horrible.

Hands down the ST: II-VI set. Most of the rest look like leisure suits or pajamas. Though of the rest, the DS9 Seasons 1-5 and VOY uniforms look the best to me.

The "Monster Maroons" are one of my favourite dress uniforms (though I somewhat prefer the single breasted "Flag Officer E variant" (2369-2374)), but I would prefer it to be worn without the jacket (with or without vest according to personal taste) if worn as a 'service uniform' and with a more practical jacket (or a special variant) as a "field uniform".

I think you've hit on my least favourite Starfleet uniform ever. Trek uniforms often get criticised for looking like pyjamas but in that case it was really true. The shoulder V is too low and makes it look like the person's shoulders aren't big enough for the shirt, and they're always ill fitting.
I was really glad they never ended up the hero uniform for a show.

I like the TNG movie uniforms best, but I also like the TWOK-TUC uniforms. A tie, really. I always imagined (if I were to be a Starfleet officer) as either in the TNG movie uniform or the "All Good Things" future uniform (also used in Deep Space 9 once). That should be a choice.

When I watched all the Star Trek series for the first time (except Voyager, which I watched even earlier), and the movies, about 10-15 years ago, I prefered the First Contact /late DS9 uniforms. I also liked Voyager and early DS9 uniforms a lot. I guess that those I didn't like those bright and colorful uniforms from TOS and TNG, and I prefered the darker ones, with less colors and more grey black. I guess I also like to wear black myself, that time.

Well, now, maybe because I love seeing other people wear colors, and I love colors myself, I love the bright colored uniforms, and those First Contact uniforms are too black and grey for me. My favorites are TNG uniforms, seasons 3-7. They look a bit more like uniforms than TOS ones.
Somehow I love the spirit and bright future of TOS and TNG universe the most, and those uniforms really fit them.

Also, my favorable mention goes to TNG uniforms from seasons 1-2. Although I don't like them that much as uniforms, I must admit I really like how tight they are and I love seeing TNG actors (while they were still younger and slender :D) in them. :p

I voted for the Voyager uniforms. They looked professional on both sexes, and the greyish-purple turtleneck under the jacket looked comfortable.

I voted the TOS uniforms the worst. The men's version looked like pajamas and the women's were anachronistic and made them look like Playboy bunnies in space, just there for the men to look at and not full fledged crew members to be taken seriously. I really don't think women on duty in the 23rd century would have worn 1960s era mini skirts that were so short that they couldn't bend over normally without showing everyone their business, and with heeled go-go boots. Uhura deserved more respect than wearing the bunny uniform, where she couldn't even get down under her work console when it needed repairs without worrying about whether she wax flashing anyone.

The pilot TOS women's uniforms were fine, but the sexism of the time made them get rid of the more practical pilot uniforms, as well as the female first officer, in favor of the bunny uniforms.

I also liked the special tunic like top they made for Dr Pulaski in TNG, which was much better than the catsuits the women had to wear. I also much liked Dr Pulaski, who was the first female crew member on Trek to show that there were women older than 35 serving on active duty below the rank of Admiral. Dr Pulaski was like a female Bones to me. I really wish she'd stayed around more than one year.

The pajamas description as a dis' on the Star Trek uniforms 1966 originated from our favorite Trek director ever Nicholas Meyer. He's been saying such mocking since 1981. He hasn't stopped calling it that ever since. Even in his own memoir he can't help himself from shitting on the Star Trek uniforms and it's colors while praising his TWOK dress uniforms... even though his creation would not be practical for a military crew to wear those uncomfortable outfits on a 5 year mission. Meh!
