I have to go with the Enterprise B. She had a very long and interesting life, and I have to admit to really loving the ship when I first saw her in Generations. From Captain Harriman, and then later Demora Sulu, she also mapped nearly 130+ star systems, and made first contact with numerous civilizations. She was also lost in space, so that just brings up all kinds of possibilities for a future series or movie.

Constitution-class refit.

The TOS movies got a lot right when it came to their ship designs. They're detailed enough to make them look real and functional, but not overworked to the point you're not sure what you're looking at. The Connie-refit had enough elegance to it's design so it looked cool and not a "block", but wasn't streamlined like the later starfleet ships (the classic configuration just doesn't look all that good streamlined in my opinion). It also looked like it could have been a military vessel, both inside and out.

Whilst I love the luxurious, stately and elegant "D" I am a huge fan of the Enterprise as it appeared in TMP. The heavy Art Deco influences on the refit design are very dramatic and beautiful. The "Aztec" pattern and pearlescent finish of the paint accentuated everything that was clever and well-done with that very impressive model. In short, it was - quite simply - a work of Art. The "D" has very graceful lines, which a vessel that enormous probably should have, to give it a sophistication and its own aesthetic. The Imperial ships of STAR WARS are just too big and "fat" looking, suggesting a decadent, gluttonous, overbearing society, for instance. But the "D" is very pretty to look at, it's just not as striking as its predecessor.

1701 TMP Refit, by far, w/ Picard's E in close second. I see I am in good company with the first choice. :)

Two vastly different ships merged into one voting option, while two identical ones get separate options. Makes sense.

The movies I - VI version is my favorite. Whichever option that belongs in.

Enterprise-A (admit the Romulan D'deridex Warbird is awesome and beautiful too. Why they weren't used in "Nemesis" is a mystery).

My guess is that they wanted the Nemesis Romulan ship to be something completely new because Shinzon was not your average Romulan but also because DS9 crew broke the original D'deridex model.

Why would that matter? Weren't they on fully-digital models by that point? (Also, first I've heard of them breaking that particular model.)

Hell, nearly all the ships from the last two seasons of DS9 were CG anyway, as were all the ships in Nemesis. I suspect the main reason why they created new Romulan ships for Nemesis rather than use the D'deridex was simply because it's a movie why not create a new ship design. And as cool as the D'deridex looks, it was getting rather silly that it was the only starship design the Romulans were using in the 24th century. Even the Klingons had two designs unique to the 24th century (Vor'cha and Negh'var).

All of the Romulan Warbirds in DS9 and VGR were CGI, it wouldn't have mattered one bit about the physical model. Nemesis created a new higher red Enterprise E render, as well as the Argo, Scimitar and Valdore class. They could easily have imported and improved the D'deridex render, but created a new ship from scratch.

The decision was obviously to have a new ship type regardless.

Almost pegged the Enterprise B (I really REALLY love the Excelsior and the refit mods on the B), but I had to go with the one I fell in love with when I watched Star Trek II for the first time and picked the Enterprise Refit. It's what I thought of as the Enterprise for decades and it's always the first one I think of when the name pops up. The Galaxy class has grown on me a lot lately and I do like the Sovereign, and if the C had looked more like the original design I'd probably love that one too, but it almost always comes back to the refit.

The decision was likely merchandising related. Create a new ship and you have potential new toys. Although, I'm not sure if any toys or model kits have been released of the Valdore. At the very least, video games such as STO probably enjoy having another canon design they can use.

I'm one of those old school types that prefers models over CGI, D'deridex warbirds didn't look as good in later DS9 when they used CGI, I think those warbirds looked much better in TNG when they were using models.

I don't disagree with you there, I prefer physical models in most cases too. But personal preferences aside, they were already using all-digital models, so it wouldn't matter if the original physical model of the D'deridex was broken.

I put 1701-A - simply because, I love the Refit (but love the A slightly more). Otherwise - it's equal footing with the Abrams Universe 1701 (NuTrek).

Those two are my absolute favorite starships, with Trekdom.

The A (or Refit) is a beautiful design (near perfection) - and the Abramsprise 1701 is also a stunning version.

:)

Just wanted to say that the Enterprise-J listed as Pizza-Cutter class is plain wrong. It's not funny at all.

Doug Drexler as production illustrator for the J proposed both Altair-class and Congo-class which were rejected as the ship was conceptualized. But the final design he called Universe-class in the tradition of Galaxy-class.

I find this fitting.

So can someone please change the class, even if you have to footnote it as tentative?

Universe-class was not rejected, nor explicitly accepted. Yet it's much better than making fun of it with phony class.

USS Enterprise CVN 65. This ship appeared in the fourth movie, so it's eligible for a vote. It served a fifty year career, so deserves a vote.

My father served aboard an aircraft carrier during WWII, USS Ranger CV4, so I'm partial to aircraft carriers. :)

The original Enterprise ship was British RN George sloop- of- war captured by the Continental Navy in 1775 and renamed Enterprise. By 1777 to prevent capture, she was run aground and burned...
