Fallout: The Television Series

Some are healed by radiation. Not all. Some.

Here is a Fallout wiki article on ghouls:
Ghoul | Fallout Wiki | Fandom
From the article you linked:
While ghouls require food and water, the regenerative properties of their mutated bodies can sustain them in the absence of either. In most cases, this coincides with the transformation into a feral ghoul. However, there are three known cases where prolonged isolation with no air, food, or water had no deleterious effects on the ghoul

There are many things in video games which require a suspension of disbelief. We accept it as gamers. We are the target audience.

However, for a show which is designed for a mass audience, it has to be a little more grounded in reality.

Fallout 1 & 2 were excellent. I didn't like the newer versions that much. But this show looks great, can't wait to check it out.

Trying to make things to please the mass audience usually ends in failure.

Just be brave and if its good enough then it's good enough.

Yeah, I read the schedule change in a couple of the trades. Wonder what prompted it?
Prime always does that with their shows. They advertise a particular date, and it becomes available 9 PM EST the preceding day. Just Business as Usual for them.

1 Episode in and it is solid so far. Very evocative of the games.

One thing I really like is that we've got two actors from Justified in the first ep: Walton Goggins, and Mykelti Williamson, who played Limehouse. In this show he plays Honcho, and we may or may not see him again.

Good stuff.

I'm really liking it so far. Definitely pulls a lot from the video games. Visual aesthetics and sounds are straight from the games. From an outsider who has no knowledge of the universe it might be confusing.

Enjoyed ep 1. It definitely has me intrigued. I plan to binge the rest a bit later.

I was not sure exactly what happened in
When the massacre of Vault 33 happens, did Vault 32 betray Vault 33? I think they mention raiders and at one point I think we see the leader of Vault 32 that takes the dad away. So did Vault 32 make a deal with the raiders to le them in? Was Vault 32 really just Raiders in disguise? I was not sure exactly who was what.

Definitely raiders. They had infiltrated Vault 32, let everything go to pot, and used it as a cover for invading 33.

My favourite line in the series so far

"The wasteland got its own golden rule, 'thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time'"
Because it's so goddamn true

I have seen the whole series. It is a good series.

A small and vocal group of people believed that this series would have a woke agenda. After having seen it, I can say it is a cautionary tale about what happens when there is an imbalance in power in society and how one side of that society will cause a situation to occur so that they can benefit from it, or so they believe, and how they will continue to attempt to assert their control, however illusionary, over the rest of society. It is interesting to me that we have two cautionary tales that premiered in the same month - this show and A24's Civil War.

The residents of this vault killed themselves two years before the raiders entered the vault. The carnage from this event is cleaned up - it's never explained how that is done - and a group of Vault 33 residents are moved to Vault 32.

The series takes place in 2297. The date is taken from a computer graphic showing the time that the overseer Hank Maclean was in power.
