Falling Skies Season 4 discussion thread - Spoilers

I enjoy this show in the same way I enjoy Haven: Good cast, likeable characters, and a fun premise (even if they did abandon Massachusetts). What some call a "guilty pleasure." But for the life of me, I can't remember where they left off. It seems like forever since it was on.

I wouldn't worry about not remembering what came before. I've seen the season premiere, and things have so drastically changed it might as well be a new show. I mean, (most of) the same characters are there, and it's still about fighting the alien invasion, but the tone and setting of the show has vastly shifted gears yet again. I'll leave that up to you guys to decide whether that's a good thing or not after seeing it.

I'm half way through the episode.

It's Earth Final Conflict and Andromeda changes. I wish they went to Brazil. really really weird and makes everything before it almost useless.

Well, I've only seen one of those (Agents of SHIELD), so I couldn't say.

It's definitely not like the AoS change though, which was a huge leap in quality and made the show go from something I was on the fence about to one of my favorite shows.

i don't know if it's EFC level (yet) -- production values still seem up. But the characters seem kinda waaay off, and not sure how realisitic that change seems to be.

Now, Tom is sneaking out of his cell? i'm confused...is he locked up in somewhere, or is he free to roam the area? If he his sneaking out...is the security there REALLY that bad? That's kinda cheezy to me.


Hmm, and it looks like a whole bunch of people are about to raid Pope's house & he's gonna lose his stuff (Sawyer's set-up in Lost like that didn't last long, right?)

He's "locked up," but in a bombed out building full of holes and flimsy doors and windows so that it's really easy for him to escape every night to go play Ghostrider.

Also, suddenly he's a professional motocross stunt rider rather than a former history professor. Oh, and the aliens have aircraft and advanced sensors yet can't track him in an enclosed prison area because of his mad X-Games skillz.

How many new aliens can they get? A new ship with a new alien that kidnaps humans? The aliens have NAZI youth camps for the kids and ghettos for the adults? A history teacher drives a motorcycle really well! And the POW camp has a working motorcycle? Why not put a tracking chip in him?

And what's worse is that the aliens have a new source of power being built to make a shield around the planet... that was last season David Eick, maybe you should watch it.

The Esphenni have taken over many worlds so it makes sense that we will see some different aliens under there control from time to time. The show is slowly becoming the Syfy show Defiance. LOl

Yeah, that was really stupid; plus, he has this bitchin' bike. Where does he keep it? In prior seasons they had to insulate vehicle engines because it was too easy for the aliens to find them within a really big area, now the can't track it down in a ghetto.
