I know the show does'nt star till mid june and there is no set thread for the show yet so here goes.

Me too.

I'm pretty excited for this one, so far I don't think I've disliked any of Spielberg's alien related stuff. I even liked War of the Worlds, which I know alot of other people didn't.

From what it looks like, it would be an awesome tv show. but like all sci-fi, if they don't get a big quick audience and keep it for all episodes, the money won't come into the show and it will die because of the costs of making syfy shows.

the premire is june 19th. which is a sunday which is wiered setting but oh well. who is the general the keep showing in the comerical he seem very familar.

IMDB says the general is played by Dale Dye but I've heard Will Patton is in the show, and IMDB doesn't mention him on the Falling Skies page. If you recognize the general, I bet it's Patton. He's been in everything. (Patton's page says he is in the show.)

The reviews I've read (like this one) imply that the show is relatively straightforward, uncomplicated action, kind of old-fashioned. I'll bet that works out great in its favor. I've been thinking there's a market for a good old fashioned ass-kicking sci fi series. No more RDM navel-gazing! Mainly because shows that try it usually don't do it very well. But how hard can it be to play "shoot the bad aliens"?

I hear that TNT will wait for Falling Skies to premiere before making a renewal decision but the network is said to be very high on the series and an early pickup is considered very likely.
