Falling Skies comments and disscussions

I was desperate enough to watch Red Faction: Origins. First half anyway. I might even start a thread on it tomorrow. :rommie:

Errr...mixed bag, I'd say. It's the best of the skiffy Sat night monster movies I've ever seen. This is only the second I've ever managed to sit through.

apparently like most Syfy Saturday movies. I was too busy watching Boxing on HBO, but I was never interested in it.

well I was looking on winkiepedia and the first season will run ten episodes and no breaks. can't wait.

well thats true but here's best wish and a long and happy run for this show and no jinixing it before it's started.

It's on tnt it takes a lot for a show to get cancelled on tnt.

Ever hear of Crusade? It was canceled by TNT before the first episode was shown.

That was long enough ago that I wouldn't take it as an indication of anything. The TV landscape is different now but more importantly, Crusade didn't have a heavy hitter like Speilberg behind it. TNT isn't likely to treat him like they treated a small fish like JMS.

The show is showing up on my DVR now. Yay!

Whoever invents the time travelling DVR will be a trillionaire! I want to see the damn show now!

PS, I'm not going to start a Red Faction thread after all. In the end, it wasn't worth much, except that Brian J. Smith is a better actor, and better at headlining a series, than I expected based on SGU.

didn't think it was worth my time. Any movie made by the Syfy network I automatically dismiss as being horrible, because to me most of them are.

Red Faction was noticeably less horrible than average, but not actually worth watching for more than curiosity's sake, or because you just love stories about Mars (which I do).

The whole Soviet visual theme, for instance, is something that might work in a video game, but in a TV show, it just raises too many questions - why would Mars colonists go retro like that? Don't they have enough to do without worrying about style?

well tomarrow we should be able to set our DVR's.I just checked mine and it goes to sunday but only to about 7pm. damn it. well right before our show we have transformers playing which is cool.

heh in one of the new commercials does'nt it look like the aliens are using two legged walkers in this if so can we rename the show robotech invid invasion<:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:.

I'm looking forward to this. I wish I had cable, but found out yesterday that I'll get to see the first episode at an upcoming convention in less than 2 weeks. Hopefully will be put on free to air TV (even one of the alternative digital channels here)
