Expecting Trailer?/Super Bowl Trailer is Live Now [SPOILERS]

I still dont think thats the Enterprise crashing, everything about the silhouette suggests its not the Enterprise + if you freeze frame just before it hits the skyscraper the hull does not seem the same, its more curved.

Also:

When we first see the Ent falling into Earth(?) from orbit the ship still has power but when we see it in the atmosphere it has no power because the running lights have switched off. This may explain the gravity issues we have seen in the trailer? The power is off and the anti-grav has failed The Undiscovered Country style only this time they are in a planets atmosphere and experiencing g-forces!

COOL Trailer.

Also Union Jack upside down was flown on any ships in distress.

Interesting that the view of London explosion is almost exactly the same as the view from Noel Clarkes window which suggests he did something for Mr Cumberbatch in return for his daughters health :)

He is behind the London bombing.

THe hangar bay exploding seemed like some form of Earth Defence system imho.. and it has similar craft to what we see Kirk shooting at through a window in the trailer.

It looks suspiciously like a huge chamber full of cryo-pods being detonated in London.
Looked more to me like a shuttleport - much more extensive, ground-based version of what was seen in the last movie of the Enterprise shuttle bay.

OUR
WORLD
WILL
FALL

Well if the Enterprise did more exploring and less home hugging, they would discover 120+ worlds that have the same gravity and atmosphere as Earth. I think we can survive not having an Earth.
Or was it intended to be read: "OUR WORLD WILL FALL INTO DARKNESS"?

OK...

the whole Harrison/Kirk dialogue exchange of:
Harrison: I'm Better
Kirk: At What?
Harrison: Everything.
has me again considering the theory that some people have that Harrison was one of the "Supermen" on the Botany Bay.
:vulcan:

Yeah, me too. I've hated the idea of a Khan rehash but, I gotta say, if this is a Khan rehash then it appears they spared no expense doing a story of Genetically Engineered Supermen capable of World Detonation on the scale it deserved.

The Ad just aired!

That trailer was awesome. I was already excited for this movie, now I am even more excited if that is even possible.

The Super Bowl footage looks even more exciting than the nine minutes I saw before The Hobbit, I'm relly looking forward to the movie.

I'm honestly hoping they take off the gloves and make big changes to the status quo since this is probably a one-shot trilogy of films.

Still want Spock to be the bad guy in the third film!

Re: Will We Be Expecting A Trailer From Super Bowl? [SPOILERS]

GOOD GOD MAN! I peed a little.

Eh. As you get older, you get used to that.

The more I see, the more I'm certain this movie doesn't end well. Or even if if does, at least thematically, Cumberbatch leaves behind a mess that will take decades to clean up.

Yeah a Khan rehash -- but it wouldn't really be a "TWoK" rehash. TWoK never dealt with the the whole idea of Khan being a genetically engineered 'Superman' who was a world ruler. It only dealt with what happened after that Superman went mad.

Don't get me wrong -- I loved TWok, but it wasn't really a continuation of what I think was the most interesting aspect "Space Seed" -- and that was the idea that this sleeper ship was full of a race of genetically engineered superhumans. TWoK was basically a story of one of those superhumans going mad with rage, and being pratically unrecognizable shell of the Superman he once was.

I would love to see a story explore that more intersting aspect of Space Seed -- and that is idea of a genetically engineered superman loose in the Federation (I mean, one with all of his faculties, and can act on something other than just madness and revenge).

Well, there was definitely some detonation in that there trailer.

I liked, looking forward to the movie.

Paramount took their promotion too far tonight... the Super Dome is partially in the dark right now.

I do like the battle scarring on the Enterprise. Think whoever makes the toy will have a Battle Damage version?

As long as its entertaining, does it matter?

For a Star Trek fan who wants to see more Star Trek, yes. It does matter. If I was just in it for entertainment, I would go for something else.
