B'Elanna going on about anti-neutrnos to explain why the pan galactic teleporter they stole, didn't work.
I think it'd make more sense to talk about anti-merinos because the whole thing is just woolly.

I hate baah-bahhd puns.
If that was the case, then why did so many episodes babble on about replicator rations for food and other necessities? HahahaMaybe they used the replicators to manufacture all the torpedoes and shuttlecrafts.![]()
Agree. That is why I put theIf that was the case, then why did so many episodes babble on about replicator rations for food and other necessities? Hahaha

I like VOY, but it is funny to point out all the rules the writers and producers (Jeri Taylor, Michael Piller, Kenneth Biller and Brannonn Braga) imposed on VOY, only to ignore/contradict them later when the plot or story necessitated something happen a certain way.
^ And holodeck system was totally incompatible with the rest of the ship, because TPTW (Taylor, Piller and Braga) wanted to still do holodeck episodes.
When I watched the show years ago, it was my personal interpretation that they had to ration all this other stuff to keep the energy for the industrial replicators to make the components to build new shuttles, etc.If that was the case, then why did so many episodes babble on about replicator rations for food and other necessities? And even if you couldn't for some crazy-ass techno-bull reason, where does the power for the holodecks come from in the first place? And that's total bullshit. As anybody with only a few basic notions of science knows, you can convert any energy into any other. There's no such thing as "totally incompatible" when it comes to the conversion of energy.
And even if you couldn't for some crazy-ass techno-bull reason, where does the power for the holodecks come from in the first place?
PARIS: Engine efficiency's down another fourteen percent. If we don't get more power to the warp drive, we're all going to have to get out and push.
JANEWAY: What about alternative energy sources? Ensign Kim, have you had any luck getting power from the holodeck reactors?
KIM: Not yet. We tried hooking them to the power grid and we ended up blowing out half the relays. The holodeck's energy matrix, it just isn't compatible with the other power systems.
Exactly what?
Voy Parallax S01e03.
What do the reactors run on? Why are they independent? Why don't the crew use the holodeck replicators for food instead of dicking around?Voy Parallax S01e03.

But then why not use them for food purposes?
