I am very much looking forward to the EURO 2008 tournament. I can't wait for Italy v. Netherlands later today.

I was not expecting great things from France this year but at least I was expecting something. Today we had nothing, nada, que dalle, rien.

I can't believe the first boring game of EURO 2008 was one involving FRANCE and wish I never backed them to win it. That was so dire, I mean the French had no drive, no flair and no confidence. I would love to know why Malouda is even in the team because he's had a poor season at club level and looked like a lost child on that pitch.

I was so dissapointed with Benzema too and also FRANCE will not get out of this group playing two holding midfielders in a 4-4-2 formation. Hopefully the Dutch/Italy game will be better in 45 mins.

I'm expecting a draw, but with goals. Probably 1-1. Italy won't allow 2, but won't be able to score more than one goal (without any 'curious' penalties )

Congrats to the Dutch! I support anything that will see the Italians leave this tournament early. I think they're overrated and I still harbor some resentment over 2006.

I expect increasing diving efforts by the Italians now.

First goal, by v.Nistelrooy clearly off side. But the second was something to behold, in both individual skill from Sniejder and the slickness of the counter attack by v.Bronckhorst and Kuyt.

Much, much, better than the France Romania opener.

Nope, just the opposite, it was very clearly not offside, because of an Italian player behind the goal line.

Anyway, pointless to debate it, the Netherlands are playing a superb game today, and they'd win it regardless. They are surely the most impressive team so far in this tournament.
