Episodes that put you to sleep?

I know there are those episodes from all the Star Trek Series the ones that you've seen so many times or are just sleep inducing.....

For me it's

"Encounter at Farpoint."

Seen it so many times over the years it's like I'll be asleep 20 minutes in.....

This is the only episode to actually put me to sleep. On the first viewing, no less. And it did it twice. No kidding.

#1 would be Voyager's 11:59. I've never seen Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman, but for some weird reason that's what I imagine it would be like. Not bad writing or anything, just way too slow and boring for my ADD ass.

The Fight and Tsunkatse are up there as well.

Enough picking on Voyager...


sleep inducing TNG: anything with Troi romance, or any of the other handful of soap opera episodes.

sleep inducing DS9: I would say Valiant, but since "bad" and "boring" can be two different things, the awfulness of this actually keeps me quite awake. I really can't think of a DS9 ep right now that actually bores me.

sleep inducing ENT: A Night in Sickbay

There are several episodes that could bring on sleep after repeat viewings, but I actually fell asleep during VOY's original airing of "11:59". The only other time I think that happened was with TOS's "The Empath", but I was only six years old at the time. I'm pretty sure I could fall asleep right now if I put on "11:59", TNG's "Masks" or ENT's "Precious Cargo"

Most Troi-related episodes put me to sleep, except for perhaps The Loss where her loud mouth would keep you awake.

Yeah, I literally feel asleep on the first viewing of this, too. Such a horrid and boring episode.

I've been diggin' first season TNG, Syfy been's playing it. Last night was Symbosis, such a cheesey anti-drug fest, but it was great. Crusher's acting was so hammy, but i enjoyed it very much.
