Episode IX Speculation and Discussion

I think it's Harrison Ford.

Nah. Snoke. It's a bit weird. But if it's Han, he would never have tried to push Ben towards the Dark Side. Doesn't make sense. If he heard, what we now know is Palpty, talking like Han in his head to go and fuck up a lot of people, even Ben/Kylo would have gone 'say what now'.

Doesn't he say something along the lines of "all the voices you've heard have been mine"? So it could be Palpatine through a Han filter. Ben Solo thought he knew his father's thoughts, but it was actually Palpatine.

Ben Solo would know that Han Solo would never say anything that would bring him closer to the Dark Side. If he heard a voice that was Han's that would say anything along the lines of 'go do some bad shit', he would know something was up. So, no. That wasn't Palpy using Han's voice.

Well, there'd be nothing stopping Palpatine using Han's voice to further confound / mess with Ben. Every voice could include both the good and bad angels on his shoulders. I listened to it again several times this morning and it still sounds like Ford using a more guttural tone more than it does Andy Serkis's Snoke. Plus, it seems more symbolic: His Great-Grandfather (of a sort): "I have been every voice..." His Father: "... you have ever heard ..." His Grandfather: "...inside your head."

I could of course be completely wrong. Everyone in the YouTube comments seems to think it's Snoke. So ...

I give Disney my money many times over, considering how many properties they own.

I have a ticket for a 3D version of the film next Thursday. There are many seats available at the theatre for the Thursday showings. And I have heard that Disney is lowering its expectations for opening night estimates.

6 days til I see the film with a very old friend, her husband, and their two daughters.

I'm so excited that I've joked (without really joking) that I will crawl to this movie if I have to (since I'm a little bit hobbled at the moment due to being the victim of two hit-and-run vehicular incidents within the span of 30 days).

So, spending time with something you find boring??? Spending money on something you hope fails?

I was looking around on the awards website for Disney, and it looks like they're putting Rise of Skywalker up for a whole bunch of them. I think it's the Oscars, but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure an actor can be posthumously nominated for a Best Supporting category award based on a performance cobbled together completely through the use of previously-existing footage.

I looked at random showtimes all the way up to Christmas in my area and they were pretty well sold at this point. We shall have an idea in about a week about it’s success or not.
