I think Admiral_Young meant no Trek series has ever done anything like that. It definitely would have shaken things up, especially if it were T'Pol who assumed command afterward (let's say Archer doesn't make it off the Xindi superweapon in Zero Hour, just as an example). But since Archer was being trumped as this supposedly big and important mega-hero to the entire Federation, obviously he wasn't going anywhere.Blake's 7. B5, Sinclair disappeared. It's been done. Although Avon is my favorite character, once Blake left the series was less fun to watch.It certainally would have been a bold move though...no other series has done that obviously.
