Enterprise: The Animated Series

I would watch any Star Trek Animated Series at this point. Ent or otherwise.
I quite like the idea. Since you'd only hear the actor, the years that have passed since Demons/Terra Prime wouldn't be a problem. And it being animated, one could tell great, visually exciting stories on a relatively small budget.

Is the OP suggesting a fan project or a Paramount sanctioned product?
If there were sufficient fanforce & talent behind a fan production, it could be done. There was a guy working on one a couple of years ago, but I haven't heard from him in a while. Had some incredible 3-D renderings and a sweet Flash-style cast photo that "felt" like the TOS animated series.
Sadly, my efforts are dedicated to paid work these days. If it weren't so, I'd be all over something this. The hardest part would be the quality of the stories. They would have to be up there with Phase II... otherwise it would come off as fanwank.

I was thinking of a Paramount sanctioned product...canon if you will.
The episodes would have to be edited when showing the T'Pol decon "standing at attention" scenes.

Damn, this needs to happen! Then we can finally see the Earth-Romulan War and the forming of the Federation, what "Enterprise" should have shown all along.

Nice idea. I'd be right there at ep one on, would such a thing ever happen.It'd still be STE, and that's good enough for me.
Honestly an animated anthology series could be kinda cool. I mean even if they set it in the nuTrek universe, Enterprise is still technically canon. So they could do a flashback style thing where you see some of the missions of the NX-01 maybe some of Pike's early missions... since you really can't tell any new stories with the nuTrek crew as that may step on future movies and/or series' toes, you can sure as shit tell stories from the back story of the nuTrek universe.
I'd LOVE to see the Earth Romulan wars animated. Think of how awesome that could be with near limitless capability to show whatever they want. I mean in regular TV trek you still have be constrained by what you can do with flesh and blood actors and real world physics. I think a really well done, almost anime styled show could really be cool. Get some of the original voice actors or at least decent sound alikes.

Could someone please explain the appeal of Anime style animation to me? I'm sorry but I just don't see it. I've tried to watch several Anime shows and just cannot see the appeal.
If Enterprise: The Animated Series was going to be done, I vote for a style similiar to the first seasons of Batman: The Animated Series, though definitely with a brighter color palette.

I bought TAS after Xmas, but haven't watched it yet. Currently watching TOS-R Season 1 for the first time ever.
