Enterprise Relaunch Novels = Amazing!

However, one minor thing that isn't cool...

The actual crew of the Kobayashi Maru is portrayed as a rather nasty bunch of people. Kojiro Vance, in particular, is quite the slime bucket.

I haven't read the Romulan War novels, only the Rise Of The Federation series by Bennett, which are some of the finest examples of TrekLit.

IMO, the Romulan War two-parter was the best one! :rommie:

I haven't read the ones before and after to their completion, but my opinion remains the same.

I like the ENT novels as well. Particularly The Good That Men Do, which gives "These Are The Voyages..." a whole new meaning.
Yes its makes that episode worth watching....almost. I laughed at how the two characters pointed out the plot holes and wondered how anyone believed the nonsense portrayed in the history books.

the last one was a bit terrible
one of the writer left and it showed on every page

Christopher Bennet's Enterprise books are good. The next book coming out Live by the Code, Is Coming out on March 29.

got put off the books after reading the romulan war
how many are there?

To date, my Enterprise: Rise of the Federation series consists of A Choice of Futures, Tower of Babel, Uncertain Logic, and the upcoming Live by the Code, which will make a limited debut during my guest appearance at Cleveland ConCoction this coming weekend before going on sale at the end of the month.

Have fun in Cleveland, Christopher! I preordered the e-book on Amazon a few weeks ago. I'm ready!

Which books do you mean?
specifically the romulan war felt rushed ,packed too many in characters which were then short changed
after that terrible let down i was out
shame the previous books had been quite good
i heard he wanted to do more books detail each year of the war
but was told this would be the last so he just threw in everything
so "shariel's sword" became the whole dam war

I believe there was going to be a trilogy, rather. But Pocket's license was up for renewal in 2012, so just to be on the safe side, the writers of the various series were asked to do books that could serve as finales if necessary, so the latter two books of The Romulan War were reduced to one, To Brave the Storm.

You care how many books there are when you were put off by them? :shrug:I never asked and I thought The Good That Men Do was just meh. Not bad but hardly amazing. Granted I haven't read them in 9 years but the ending felt off.

I noticed that on here and Trek FM, the books have better reception than on Triaxian Silk. It also got mixed reviews on Delphic Expanse.

I liked the Romulan war books and I thought the stories were interesting. The folks at Triaxian silk and The Delphic Expanse had mixed feelings about the Enterprise . Some like them others didn't really care for some of the story plots. Those sites don't really talk about the books anymore

TS doesn't talk much about anything now. There are maybe one or two active threads. Delphic Expanse has a smattering about every 2-3 weeks. As for me, I never read any of the other relaunch books, though some of the Federation ones sound interesting.

I pre-ordered the book online - looking forward to it since V'Las is still out there lol
