Enterprise D saucer recovery

    So they're floating Battery Jump Starter Ships to help prime the Fusion Reactors?

    Basically, they're Starfleet's version of AAA when a massive Saucer Section goes down.

    Or the fusion reactors were damaged in the crash and were under repair for restart

    That could very much be true, needing to fix the Fusion Reactors before it can lift itself off the planet under it's own power via Anti-Grav

    One thing I like about this video is the scale. The saucer looks HUGE and gives you a sense of what it would be like to see the E-D in person.
