More usefully, it's in the Roddenberry Archive

That rectangular shadow in the cropped screencap in the post above that one certainly looks like a plaque (or, at least, it's the right shape and it has a light spot in the same place the delta-shield is on the Roddenberry Archive digital reproduction). But it wasn't actually on the bridge set?
I've always thought of the C's bridge that we see as auxiliary control (I don't call it a battle bridge since we don't know if the ship can separate into a saucer and "battle" section, but I'm nitpicking). The existence of that weird freestanding console between the main viewer and the helm/nav stations, to my mind, also suggests it's not the main bridge.
At first I thought you meant the attack at Narendra III, but that made no sense to me since that was the E-C choosing to intervene in a Romulan attack against the Klingons. Then I thought you meant the battle at the end of the episode, but by that point it could be that they just didn't have time to make the main bridge operational again.Interesting idea, but I’m not sure why they would all have happened to be on the auxiliary bridge during a surprise attack.

So, I'm left a bit confused?
It's a console on a lot of those bridge illustrations like you see in the old Star Trek Magazine (looking like the helm/nav console from the refit 1701). I have no idea if it that's what it really was. That's where they found Castillo, wasn't it?
Was that actually a console? I swore II could see steps right next to it.
Well, it's possible the main bridge was compromised during the battle at Narendra III beyond the abillity to repair it before the battle shown at the end of Y/E. Granted there's no visible damage of that magnitude, and the simplest explanation is just that we're seeing the main bridge the whole time, but if we're going to argue that what we're seeing isn't the main bridge, then it is feasible. That’s ok, I didn’t word my post very well. Let me start again.
1. If the Ent-C didn’t have saucer separation capabilities, then logic would dictate that it didn’t have a ‘battle bridge’ (i.e. a dedicated bridge for a battle situation once the saucer has separated.) In that case, even if the ship had an auxiliary bridge, there would be no reason why the command crew would be there before engaging in a battle situation.
2. Just for argument’s sake, let’s say that they WERE in an auxiliary bridge. There would still be no reason for them to have continued using it once the Ent-D crew fixed up the ship, especially before the Klingons appeared with their K’Vorts.
