They shall meet in bloody combat. And yes, it will be bloody. Words will be said. Harsh, uncompromising words. Someone....someone will claim retrospective pre-adolescent metaphorical molestation has befouled them.
That's how bad things can get in this awful, awful war.
But spare a thought, if you will, for those if us on the sidelines. Those of use who will say "Ummm...dunno, really. Not bothered. Does it matter?" for we are not made of the stern, battle-hewn stuff that is required in these heady days of furious combat and wild-eyed righteousness.

Kind of my reaction, too. I couldn't care less which word Pike uses. I only care for what he's trying to say.God this is sad, in the extreme. Arguing over the most insignificant of minutae yet again.
To be honest, that line struck me as an odd way to put it, too.

"Enlist" rolls off my tongue more naturally than "enroll", although "enrolled" tops "enlisted".![]()
