endgame, the best trek finale?

And maybe just maybe they can explain why she named herself after a 1970's horror movie?

That's the best clue ever that Susperia and her Ocampa were intent on eating Kes if she followed them home to fold space.

Maybe Susperia could have married Chuckles in the final? After being raped by Seska he wouldn't have the vanity left not to whore himself for a short cut home for the rest of the crew.

Aren't you a bit rude to Chakotay now?

As for Kes, I don't think that anyone planned to eat her. Suspiria wanted revenge on Voyager because she believed that they had killed the Caretaker but I don't think she wanted to hurt Kes as long as she didn't try to resist her actions. I also guess that Tanis fancied Kes and therefore wanted to bring her to the Array.

Actually I was being Rude to Janeway for not sleeping with Q to get home.

Janeway's daily emasculation regime (Note Elogium where she comments on his sexlessness.) on the Indian was a hundred times more like syphoning all the gas out of his fuel tank metaphorically forever than Seska did once with that bloody big syringe.

Janeway commented on his sexlessness because she thought he had a certain tree-like quality. She was not wrong.

With regards to the original topic of the thread - Endgame is what made me realise what fanboy fantasies were all about. Time Travel, The Borg and a bit of geriatric Janeway, Chakotay/Seven?! That was practically a retcon :p

OH! And can ANYONE explain that shot of the torpedo in the Borg Sphere to me? Even when they tried to explain it in Elite Force II, I still didn't understand what was going on.

The saving grace is, this is one of those episodes that looks astounding. When compared to These Are The Voyages. True story :p

In retrospect Endgame was a harbinger of the lazy writing we would see on Enterprise. Why bother with continuity at all? Time travel will explain all the errors with established Star Trek canon. The writers can do whatever they want.

And sadly what the writers wanted to do were time travel stories nobody cared about. The founding of the Federation stories everyone was interested in were almost ignored.

Yeah, Endgame wasn't the best. I didn't enjoy it as much as "What You Leave Behind", or "All Good Things...". I did enjoy future and present Janeway, but what that did was just a microcosm of the entire series for me, which was that it didn't allow time for the other characters to grow. These were people we stuck with for seven years! Characters we followed and characters we loved. They didn't give any of the characters except maybe Janeway a proper send-off. I wanted to learn what happened to these people after they got back, but I got nothing. Just the same thing as the end of any other episode of the series. They jetted off as if nothing had ever happened.

I wouldn't call it a proper sendoff for Janeway. Her character (or at least an older version of it) messed with the timeline which was pretty much doing the same as the villains in Future's End and Year of Hell yet we were supposed to see this as heroic. Not the best legacy for Janeway. What were the writers smoking? :wtf:

Cane toads.

I think Berman and Braga had spent most of the year preparing the ground work for Enterprise, leaving a distracted leadership at the helm. I still have no fracking idea why they changed Borg Queens? Unless that supposed to assure us that this story was set in another time line entirely and that Janeway hadn't meddled in her own past so that the events we saw in the future...

Did Berman ever give an honest reply about Endgame being a redux of Timeless?

The other actress wasn't available, so they got Krige to do it.

:) You've given a real world answer (Which is good to know, thank you very much.) to answer a question set within the in the limits of the story-frame... Seriously, the day they hired Susannah Thompson (Now seen quite regularly on NCIS) 3 years earlier they should ave contracted her for the finale (how cool can you play it?) since everything that happened in Endgame was utterly predictable from a "Haven't I read this story on a fan-fiction message board before?" since the final gave us exactly what we wanted and not what we didn't know we wanted.

I'm not at all sure it was the best one I gotta say Endgame was my favorite star trek finale. What can I say, I'm a sucker for borgs and time paradoxes. :borg:

I'm not finished watching ENT yet, but based on the bad press, I'm not expecting to be thrilled with TATV.

I was a bit TNG fan, but I basically detest Q ... he really kills any episode for me.

I watched DS9 a lot in the earlier seasons, but by the end I hadn't really been keeping up, so I didn't totally follow WYLB.
