Well, they supposedly are speaking the same language as in TNG overall. Regardless of House identity or whatnot.

It was far more likely named after Muroc Army Air Base in California, now known as Edwards Air Force Base, given the show's prominent use of test pilot names for ship classes. The USS Muroc might have been named after the Vulcan Muroc from the Enterprise episode "Cease fire". With the USS Hoover, the Hoover class now has a class ship. "petaQ" was said by L'Rell.
I noticed those, as well! I thought it was great having those in there! That, coupled with the bluish-green, singing leaves gave it a TOS feel overall!Anyone catch the Cage sound effects when Saru was undergoing his "transformation"? First it was the old warp drive spool-up sound, followed by the classic transporter effect. It actually felt kind-of out of place in a 21st century production.![]()
There had to be a good amount of color work done. In the trailers right after the series premiered, the planet sequences looked like normal daylight shots with regular shades of green.Yes I was quite impressed at how they did the blue forest. Must have been some serious color correction/replacement going on there in post. Very well done. While some of the editing in this episode was a bit dodgy, IMO, the top-shelf production values still persist.
Yes a nice homage.Anyone catch the Cage sound effects when Saru was undergoing his "transformation"? First it was the old warp drive spool-up sound, followed by the classic transporter effect. It actually felt kind-of out of place in a 21st century production.![]()
