While scouring through iTunes for something to buy (it was my birthday and Mom gave me a gift card), I stumbled on the audiobooks of Frank Herbert's Dune series. I was surprised to see multiple cast members listed and looked up a little more info online. I found out that there's one narrator (Simon Vance, whose voice I love) but every so often other voice actors come in to do a scene.
It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure I'd like that approach. I was wondering if anyone here has listened to any of the audiobooks (particularly the first one) and could tell me in a little more detail what it's like. Does the narrator come in during those scenes to say "he said" and stuff? Or am I misreading it and the others only come in for those 'excerpts' at the beginning of chapters?
