I had vague memories (as haven't seen the TV CoD for a while) that James McAvoy did his fight scenes pretty well (in a speeded-up kind of way)
That's nearly what I envisaged although without quite as much Flash-like speed. I thought a Prana-bindu adept would appear to be in several places at the same time -- sort of like a quantum superposition -- only resolving as completely solid whenever he/she struck an opponent.I had vague memories (as haven't seen the TV CoD for a while) that James McAvoy did his fight scenes pretty well (in a speeded-up kind of way)
Hmm I took as it a extremely fast movement due to the control - think of the expression lightning fast reflexes.IMO, the mini overpowered the bene gesserit combat style - turning it more into magic than science. Prana Bindu is complete control over every muscle in your body. The results should still exist in the realm of physical possibility - not what is essentially transporting like the mini had it. Yoga taken to an absolute extreme.
Sure the control provides fast movement but it's still bound by human possibility. The mini has people standing/sitting still and magically moving somewhere nearby virtually instantaneously without ever changing their pose. Bene Gesserit combat is in no way described as such in the books. That's turning a feet of human control, training, study, and practical and turning it into magic.Hmm I took as it a extremely fast movement due to the control - think of the expression lightning fast reflexes.
Yeah, my memory of the description of Prana-bindu must have become corrupted in my imagination to include elements of the space-time folding abilities of the Guild navigators plus prescient ability to sense possible future paths. Also Leto II is part worm as you mentioned and I do seem to recall that CoD states that this confers super speed and strength. A lot of the "science" in FH's Dune novels is magic, based on our current understanding, but at least it is self consistent within its universe.,Leto was already part worm at that point and had his super speed. That's what that clip is demonstrating, not Prana Bindu weirding combat.

My opinion of Paul's refusal was always that he didn't think humanity would survive the typhoon struggle. He was raised from birth by Gurney and Co being told that stagnation was death - which is exactly what he says the golden path is when he meets Leto in the desert. .
Only if he wins and as I understand, it's less about clout and more about how big a fee one can demand. So Villeneuve got an Oscar nom for Arrival. Means he's got some more clout going forward if he wants this to be made that badly.
