Dune 1984 Extended Edition; is it available?

I've been checking Amazon and Bol.com (kinda like a Dutch Amazon) for blurays of the 1984 Extended Edition of Dune.
I've seen the theatrical version plenty of times, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen the extended. I suppose I could check Prime (haven't yet) but right now I'm more interested in a hard copy.

I couldn't easily direct you to which Blu-rays have the TV cut included and which ones don't, but I can tell you it definitely has been released on Blu-ray.

Interesting. It says 2 cuts, three movies. And it says the runtime is the theatrical runtime. But it does seem to be the extended... I shall dive a bit deeper.

Other way around, 2 movies, 3 cuts. That's because it has the documentary on it as well.

That particular release contains:

Dune theatrical cut
Dune TV extended cut
The Sleeper Must Awaken documentary.

Ah, like so! I misread

I can tell you that it says "ISBN 0-7832-5537-3".

The numbers in front of the barcode are 25192 and 12422, for whatever that's worth.

I never heard of EAN.

Thanks!! I'll check that out! EAN is a international product code.

As an aside, I discovered the case is no longer in the pristine condition I thought it was. Guess I need to look into a method for cleaning steelbooks...

Check this out.

Just go to viavision.com.au and type in Dune in the search box if the link above doesn't work/not the edition you were looking for.

Shit... that is exactly what I need, but I'm Dutch. So for it to come from Australia, the shipping is high, I have to pay importfees, taxes and such making it super expensive. AND it's probably region locked, meaning I might not be able to play it.
But now I know exactly what to look for and I'll see if I can find it here. Thank you!

ETA: It's also out of stock. :(

The extended TV version on that DVD set is a bit rubbish IMO, you'd be better off spending your time watching David Lynch's elusive 3 hour workprint which recently appeared on youtube:

No it didn't. That's a fan reconstruction of what they think it would have been.
That doesn't mean it's not worth watching of course (Same goes for the Spicediver fan edit) but just want to get the facts straight. :)

I mean...that's the same release I linked for you originally? :D

It's got issues for sure ( the content, as opposed to the transfer ), but it's worthwhile for Dune fanatics if only because of the scenes that didn't make it into the theatrical version, such as the Jamis sequence and the creation of the water of life.
