I loved the Avatar books (I actually read them together in Twist of Faith).
It felt like the perfect continuation to the the TV show, which I felt had ended unresolved.

It's also the book that motivated me to start reading all the other Star Trek books. Which is a decision I was very happy I made. So I suppose it'll always have that special honour.

I can definitely agree with that.
I think he's the only one that's a fully formed character in my head when I read about him.
Although there are a few others that are getting there.

Did Raise the Dawn or Revelation and Dust mention if Vaughn was
    buried on Bajor?

    ^^^ Good question. I don't believe it's been addressed.

Mustn't have read the book your referencing yet.

Have a few more DS9 books to read and I'm not past Destiny in the other books.

Sad to hear things don't end well for him.
Seems to be a fate many of the book-only characters suffer.

I just finished Book 1 and anxious to start Book 2. I bought these when first released, but did not get around to reading them until now. I'm so glad I finally found some time.

My only complaint is one that I've heard from others; that this should have been one book. There really isn't a climax for the first installment. It just seems to end with a chapter stop. But I have faith that Book Two will be just as good.

^ Since a couple of people are reading book two at the moment, should I post a Review Thread for it now?

A classic review thread for it is scheduled anyway for mid May, so I could just bring it forward a couple of weeks.

Sounds good to me. I'm catching up on my Trek-lit after more than a decade away, so I haven't read many of the books up for review. But I'll have Avatar Book 2 finished next.
