So Amazon didn't deliver today again (got the shipping notice on Tuesday) and i went and bought it in a store.
Installed it on the PS4 and apparently skipped the character creator by accident after i entered the character name
So i watched the first cut scene with the stock character and i couldn't stop the scene so i had to restart the game and then the game suddenly presented me with the female version of the character ( i didn't even notice how and where you change the gender).
Third attempt i finally got to design my character and import the custom world state i generated via The Keep (worked flawlessly.. at least i think so since i didn't receive any error message)
After about 3 -4 hours of playing the game i can say not bad. Combat is still a little chaotic and so far i didn't feel the need to manually control my party. Only ran into one rift where my party is currently too weak to engage the demons there.
However i get the sense that the game will be huge.. there's a shit ton of options and gameplay elements like the strategy table where you get to control the Inquisition forces, i discovered some kind of Inqusition perks (whatever that will mean in the long run) and crafting seems to be ridiculously varied.
So far my two hand weapons human warrior is at level 4 and i'm just running around the first area to see what i stumble upon and have just established the first two camps and discovered some curious things here and there that will probably be important later in the game (such as shards).
Graphics wise i can honestly say that i am a little disappointed.. i kinda expected more after i've seen screenshots and videos but maybe i'm expecting too much. It looks very good but i still don't get the feeling that it's truly next gen (fires look especially bad and unrealistic). Maybe there will come a moment where it clicks for me.
However it seems to be a good game that will take quite a while to play through without completing every villagers sidequest and discovering every little rock. Looking forward to it.
