Dan Harmon, creator Community and co-creator of Rick & Morty, has been brought in to write new scenes for the additional shooting that they'll be doing.
I love Rick & Morty, so if he brings some of it's style to his new scenes it could be great. I just hope they don't clash to much with the rest of the movie.

I love Rick and Morty, but this seems like a weird thing for Harmon to do. Still, hopefully it will work out well. As for the spoiler, I figured we'd get a post credit scene with that character at the very least, if not a reveal at the end of the movie that he was the mastermind behind the other bad guy all along.

It does sound like they'll be going with a scientific approach to the magic in this one too, although it will be much more clearly real magic with spells and such, than what we've gotten in the other movies.
They wouldn't come out and say it, but it seems like they are setting up Dormmamu as a big bad for later movies.
The Oath is a pretty big influence on the movie, with one scene even being a close recreation of a sequence from the comics.
It sounds like their won't be any direct ties into the other movies, although the article does mention the possibility that the Eye of Agamotto will be an Infinity Stone.

There have been online rumors, obviously be taken with a grain of salt, that Robert Downey jr. Will have a cameo.

Oh, that's cool. I recently read that story for the first time and really enjoyed it. While I had hoped the story itself would be adapted in a future sequel, it's good to know elements from the story are being incorporated into the film, although it's too bad the Night Nurse is being outright replaced. I had hoped we would get to see Rosario Dawson show up in said film; her character's back history and presence wouldn't really need to be explained.
Rachel McAdam's Christine Palmer was one of the Night Nurses.

Just in case that was directed at me, I don't have a problem with a RDJ cameo, but pretty everything the people involved have said has made it sound like there won't be anything tying the movie to the rest of the MCU that closely. I guess that all be a fake out, but I doubt it.
Well, the Eye of Agamotto has been confirmed to hold a stone. Despite the article's headline, no one at Marvel actually uses the word "Infinity", but come on...
