Donny's Refit Enterprise Interiors (Version 2.0)

No immediate plans. But maybe one day. The biggest block to continuing on with my Ent-A project is finishing up those bridge displays, which are far more time consuming than one would think (I was creating red alert versions of every display as well, so it's double the work of near 50 or so unique, animated displays). If I can ever get motivated to finish those, it would uncork the bottle, so-to-speak, on continuing that project. I've promised myself I wouldn't tackle any other TUC sets until I finish the bridge.

I don't know if you saw, but I posted videos of a couple animated displays I made. I would be happy to contribute them, if you like ^_^
Or I could even work on creating others to help alleviate your work load

... I've placed a few of the elliptical bridge monitors into this bulkhead and in between them placed a display panel with some kit-bashed graphics from the various transporter console displays found in the Enterprise Flight Manual (from the Phase II bridge transporter station and sickbay examination room mini-transporter station). Seems fitting that the transporter room would also feature a graphic like it somewhere.

I haven't gone far enough past this page yet to know if you might have caught this and fixed it at some point before I ever got here, but just in case, your red rectangular monitor label above has a typo: "RECIEVE" instead of "RECEIVE." I still can't get over the level of detail and photorealism in your images.

Forget I said anything. I should've gone forward another page or two, and assumed you or someone had caught that. It was a year ago, after all....

Yeah, old stuff, but I appreciate you looking out!

For those wondering, taking another break to do some non-Trek modeling for bit. Be back at it soon!

I would, but it would thus be starting and engaging in a side tangent ;)

I guess the proper place for fan art of another sci-fi franchise would be more apt in the Sci-Fi Fantasy board, correct? Can anyone shed any insight to that? @Michael?

I would imagine there is some allowable precedent for a "my other sci-fi stuff" thread, but better to check and make sure of course

No, don't hold back! It might not look like that sometimes, but traditionally there have always been non-Trek threads in the Fan Art section. In fact, here's the first point from the FAQ pinned at the top of the forum:

Q: Am I allowed to post non-Trek artwork here?
A:
Well, this is the Fan Art forum on a bulletin board dedicated to Star Trek, but it’s not prohibited to post artwork unrelated to Trek. As a rule of thumb, new posters should probably start with something pertaining to Trek and keep the non-Trek stuff under half of what they post from then on.

It is a Star Trek board, so the focus should be on Trek fan art. But personally I wouldn't mind more non-Trek stuff, as long as it falls under the umbrella of what “fan art” means. :)

Oh, good, I'd been working on something fun, and I noticed that clause, but I haven't posted a Trek thing here in years upon years, so I didn't want to, like, throw off my average.

I've been through every page now of your TOS and Refit threads. I really love watching the work develop, and the results are amazing, even for sets and craft I never really cared for. The TOS and TMP aesthetics carry the day for me. As much as I enjoyed TWOK and others moving forward, I feel in many ways that some of the scenic designs just pasted unnecessary layers onto what remain excellent core designs. Looking forward to seeing more!

One thing I'd like to see Donny try, and I mentioned it a while back, is to do bridge variations of the USS Enterprise: NCC-1701 refit's sister ships (when they were refitted). I ran a few suggestions to him, commenting that "no two ships are exactly alike."
