Donny's Refit Enterprise Interiors (Version 2.0)

My research so far has shown that the more advanced computer graphics on the bridge monitors were all borrowed works from science and engineering labs. I'm on a feverish hunt to find as many as I can. The last two I've found were both products of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, so I keep searching for more of their vintage computer simulation models, but I think I'm hitting a dead end. I have a feeling they're responsible for at least two or three more of the bridge displays I'm looking for.
@Indysolo showed me a photo of an Evans and Sutherland computer board that was apparently used for some graphics on TMP. My guess would be the main viewer tacticals.

Ah yes!! I just saw that loop in the film when doing some research last night! Great find!
Ummm...I'm the one who digitized that. Shared HERE a while back (link). I got @Rick Sternbach to loan it to me so I could preserve it, and asked him to write the description in the metadata.

I studied the film a lot looking for it. I think bits of it may appear on either the Engineering station and/or the science station at least.

I took screengrabs all through TMP, TWOK, and TSFS of each shot with bridge monitors last night, and spotted it more in TWOK than TMP actually. We get the best view of it near the end of TWOK when the Enterprise was trying to get away from the derelict Reliant. It's visible on the engineering console during the cuts to Chekov:

And you're welcome. ;)

Thanks, @Maurice!

I spent the night editing down some of the videos I've collected and gotten them in-game.
I've got the CRT monitor look for TWOK, complete with scanlines:

And a more flat, backlit projector look for TMP:
@Donny, this looks so awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing it in motion. :techman:

Fixed it. :)

Yeah, @Donny, you're going to have to do an animation to really show this off. (HAVE to, right? ;) )
Of course! In due time. I also got some better video editing software (Adobe Premiere) for editing those video files used on the monitors, so the next videos I release of this project should be prettier and better crafted than my previous videos. I was previously using Windows Movie Maker so it was time for some professional software.

What's up with this forum? You 'watch' a thread only to find there's been six weeks of posts without ever being alerted!

Well I'm here now, and absolutely in awe of your progress Donny! You think you know these sets after watching the films for 25 years, but reading this thread is an education as well as a visual treat. I'd love to see more of the Grissom bridge, and I never noticed the Saratoga was another reuse, I'd always assumed it was a straight redress of the standard Enterprise set.

These genuine bridge graphics are the icing on the cake! Great finds.

Seems that if you don't check the thread after one missed notification, you don't receive additional notifications until you check said thread?

I'm excited to finish up the Grissom bridge as well! It's become one of my favorites, since we only see a small sliver of it.

I've always liked the Grissom design. It's a neat little ship, and I don't think it would take much to flesh out a full deck plan. Not that I'm expecting you to go that far. ;)

Yep, that‘s exactly how it seems to work. And thinking about it, how else could it work instead? Receiving a notification for every post that gets posted in a thread you are watching? With a popular thread like this one your notification box would fill up pretty fast and would lose its usefulness.

Oh, I agree. Sounds like some of us (myself included) just need to be more diligent about checking our subscribed threads when we get the notifications! ;)

Except I DO get multiple notifications for threads I am subscribed to; new posts as well as posters who have replied to my own posts

Only issue there is the size... Officially, it's just 120 meters long. That's really tiny for the number of ports (windows). A bunch o' people have been slapping that issue around for decades:

Yeah, I've just got three notifications for this thread. Presumably if I ignored them all I'd never get another notification in this thread?

Anyway I'll just be more diligent.

Y'know, @Donny , with all of the fine work you're doing and the production design finds you're making, I'm beginning to wonder if you're really some sort of wizard.
