Donny's Refit Enterprise Interiors (Version 2.0)

Just wanted to send a shout-out to @Donny as his threads have become one of my favorites since I discovered this forum. You truly have mad skills and your designs have added ten fold to the best Enterprise of the series and to areas barely glimpsed at in the movies.

In fact, they have greatly helped me personally as I've been dabbling in drawling an illustrated story that takes place on a Refit Connie (with myself as the captain of course) and your renditions have made it possible to visualize any angle aboard which would have never been possible having to only rely on still frame pictures.

I noticed on the Rigel VII website, you started to design a junior officer's quarters a few years ago and said you were going to finish it and move onto the senior officer's one. My question is, did you ever complete these as they would very much help me out considering there is no good photo reference for these rooms and their appearance on film is spartan?

Looking forward to hopefully more of your future contributions to this thread.

I hope you don't mind but I rotoscoped Chapel into a certain Sickbay background for an homage to a joke that was in the early In Thy Image script. Kirk volunteered to interrogate Tasha (the Ilia Probe) and Chapel alluded to the long history of him bamboozling female androids with his mojo. It's pretty rough and the angles are probably wrong for where she was standing. I vocoded her dialogue and borrowed McCoy's line from Mirror Mirror.

So, assuming that the rotoscoping in the lounge scene doesn't get a final polish and I have to decide which version I prefer, where are the locations of the other lounges on the ship?

The O-lounge at the B/C deck aft area and the main rec deck were the only ones seen on-screen to my recollection, but I remember seeing some very nicely-made fan deckplans showing smaller two-level lounges at each set of the round windows around the rest of the perimeter of the primary hull, FWIW

I will have a good look for options, although the lounge is a small, relatively private room and kitchen with a square window...

I am working on some CAD designs for my own starship in the TWOK erra and using every image i could find from set plans i am only missing one pice. I am looking for dimensions of the conn from TWOK or TMP i have had several guesses at the dimensions but looking at photos and Donnys interiors mine just seem to be off. Is there anyone who can help me with this?

Hey peeps!

We at the Roddenberry Archive had a major release today, including some documentary videos and a website in which you can stream an interactive 3D experience of almost all of the Enterprise bridges! Much of the bridge work that I showcased here and other threads has made it into this release, albeit all of it was remastered at some point.

Check it out here: https://roddenberry.x.io/
I recommend viewing it on a desktop computer. Currently, the 3D interactive streams aren't loadable on Firefox, so I suggest using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or another browser to view the interactive streams. Each timeline entry will bring up a ship image and a bridge panorama. But hitting the "Enable Navigation" button will start the stream loading process. Please give it a few minutes to load. Once in, you can press "O" to adjust things like camera height, field of view to your liking. (Our default field of view is 60, but I recommend something higher like 90, especially if you're used to 3D games). Use your mouse to move the camera and WASD keys to move your "character". Right-click to zoom in. Have a go at it!

A couple of things that are relevant to this thread are the Phase II bridge and the TVH Enterprise-A bridge, which was often requested here, and thanks to the Archive, I was finally able to bring both of these bridges to life!
Phase II Enterprise Bridge
TVH Enterprise-A Bridge

And there's also the TMP, TWOK and TSFS bridges as well!
TMP Enterprise Bridge
TWOK Enterprise Bridge
TSFS Enterprise Bridge

But even still, there's some rad stuff on the timeline that I and other created for this experience.

I hope you all enjoy the work we've done.
Here are links to some videos we've released today as well, one with Shatner sitting on a virtual set of the TMP bridge I created!

This is awesome Donny!! Was miffed at first on how to walk around using Firefox, but once I loaded it up in Chrome, I clicked in and wow.....total jaw dropper!

Really amazing work, Donny! I've loved watching you work on these for your own enjoyment all these years, so it's nice to see you getting paid for your awesome work, and also be able to tackle projects you hadn't before, like the TVH bridge and the Enterprise-B. :techman:

edit: OK, one thing I've run into is when you're walking around the bridge of the XCV Enterprise, once I got into the center pit, I couldn't figure out how to get back out of it and walk around the perimeter of the bridge again. :o

edit #2: Wow, somehow I managed to get into the turbolift on the Planet of the Titans bridge... and then couldn't get out.

Absolutely astonishing work. I spent hours looking around! Thank you.

One thing I must say: although the Phase II bridge was rendered beautifully, I am exceedingly happy it never saw the light of day. That captain's chair. Oof.

Great vids, very enjoyable.
But those interactive environments? Wow wow wow wow wow - and I've only viewed a couple so far!!!

Very late to the party here.

Can anyone show me where one can find the 3D model for TMP environmental EVA suit?
A few of us have spent many hours looking for a good one to no avail.

The only one I have was for DAZ3d I think. I don't understand lighting in DAZ or character creator to make it look really good though.

Don't know how many times I've gone through these threads but love this work. 1701-A is my favorite ship being a young kid hoping for a new series after ST-IV... was most disappointed with TNG but grew to like it though TOS movies remain my favorite. This lets me envision it. Wish the licensing / free use could get worked out because I want to stroll these corridors!
