Donald Trump is an intuitive genius, and if you don't understand this, you will never stop him.

Trump has been in the public eye for at least 30 years. He was a known quantity. The media seemed to love him until he became a viable threat to Hillary's candidacy. The fact that he was elected by the Electoral College made heads explode across the country, but there hasn't been a credible challenge to the results. All that's left is to discredit him by whatever means necessary.

The way I see it, he does and says things to generate a reaction. In one recent bipartisan meeting he said that he'd sign whatever bill Congress sent him. That prompted negative reactions from both sides.

In the last bipartisan meeting about gun control, Trump said that he's for taking the guns first and doing the due process later. That generated a media shitstorm of epic proportions.

That tells me that both sides in Congress were happy with the balance of one side control for a few years, and the other side for a few years, and don't want to do anything that will take them out of their comfort zone.

Media and politicians don't know how to deal with someone who doesn't play their game. They think he's either stupid or crazy.

I think he's crazy like a fox; he watches what people are doing and saying, and dares them to step up and take action.

We'll see.

And there's a tall fence around the playground. You mean like what Obama repeatedly did with George Bush?
Yeah, they really seem to dislike eachother...

Oh wait:

I disagree, Obama came across like a stuffed shirt. His speeches were dreary.

Obama's best trait is he has a sense of humor and it always feels like he is telling the truth. Though he can never be forgiven for mixing "Star Wars" up with "Star Trek." Jedi Mind Meld indeed!

Instead of waiting for people to step up and take action, why doesn't he lead by example?

And I suspect neither side in Congress is/was happy with the balance of one side control for a few years unless of course they are the side that is control then it's a good thing, if they aren't in control it's a bad thing.

Wouldn't a lack of due process violate the 4th Amendment of the US constitution?

Trump is his own worst enemy, take the Muller investigation the only statement he should have made is something along the lines of "I look forward to the investigation confirming my innocence". The more he goes on about the more it looks like he has something to hide.

Yes, he did say that. And then when they presented the bipartisan deal to him--two days later, IIRC--he rejected it out of hand, and... well, we all know how that one ended.

Certainly "generated a reaction", though.
