Oh come one, I'm sure if teh DS9 writing staff and VOY staff worked together, and if VOY was finally free of all the UPN interference it would've been fine to merge them together in the end and come up with a fine ending.

And it's not like DS9 really went into the consequences or aftermath that well either.

They would have run into the massive Dominion fleet that was waiting in the GQ to go through the wormhole first though.

I don't know about you but that sounds excellent.

There would be a few hundred, maybe a few thousand Dominion warships in parking orbit of the wormhole within a few hundred square kilometers desperately trying to squeeze in through that hole at the first opportunity... One fricking bomb. Boom. Janeway could have done what Sisko did without bowing a scraping to space gods for benevolence.
