had one when I was younger too.
Got her from the animal rescue. Think she was a litter runt as she was much smaller the your usual GSD but she was lovely dog, very good looking and protective (every night she would wonder around the house and check that everyone was okay).
Got an offer to breed her but had to disappoint the person as she was spade before we picked her up.
Didn't like emergency services sirens - that would get her howling.
Still had her when we got our rottie so she had to put him with him in her dottage but they got on like a house on fire though it did reach the point when he couldn't sneak under her.
Didn't work out where Dad came up with the name until much later (was a certain blonde space pilot from a 70s BBC Sci-fi series).
