Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

When my dog died and I kept breaking down for a few days after my other dog who was only about two would come up to me and put her nose under my arm to give me a hug. I will never forget how she comforted me by doing that.

What I miss the most about not having a dog now is being silly in front of them. I used to do silly dances and noises in front of my dogs and they would sit there looking at me as if to say it's them that should be daft not me. The confused look on their faces made it even funnier and it was good stress relief
Thanks for sharing, I haven't had a dog in years, I know what you mean about being silly and having the dog just look at me like I was crazy or just like yeah whatever! okay. :)

I'm sorry you're feeling down. :(

My dogs definitely act differently when I'm depressed or anxious. Fred, the chihuahua, is on my schedule in general. If I'm up late with anxiety, he's pretty restless too. Scrapple lays near me when I'm sad. They spend so much time with us and they're very sensitive to the way we behave. I wish I could loan you one while you're feeling sad!
Thanks, I don't think my cat would go for it those! :)

you could tell your problems to our Rottweiler and he’d sit, look at you, cock his head and listen.

The he’d come and put his head on your lap.

So he knew when people where sad.

Afterwards he’d grab his rope and sit there with a silly look on his face saying play with me.

none of the other dogs have been the empathetic.
Now that is so cool and sweet!

I’m so glad I have him, he helped me through the hardest moments of my life. I can tell he’s starting to go. I think I had high hopes he would have a lot more time than he does, but he’s very old. I wanna give him the best summer I can. Cheeseburgers and CBD oil all around. We have to love these wonderful companions while we have them.
You're definitely treating him the right way.

Tucker is crazy, I don't know how he can do this.

And to make matters worse, he's black. We've practically burned ourselves petting him after he's been laying out in the sun like that.

Haha they definitely have their own thermostat!

Fred likes to be warm at all times too.

Aww, that is one content little guy.
There have been a few times where the patio has gotten too hot even. It's actually kinda funny, they'll lay down for a minute or two, then hop up real fast, glare down at the patio, and then come in the house and flop down on the tile.

Good week with the doggies.

I went to the shelter today and dropped off some dog toys I braided. I like to do it every month so they have something to play with. I know the shelter appreciates it because they’re washable and sturdy. It feels good to help out. I know it’s not totally altruistic because I get a lot out of it.

If anyone wants to learn how to make them let me know! It’s just braiding fleece from the fabric store. I added some examples of what they look like. They’re so cheap and easy to make, it’s great for bigger dogs too.
