Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

I'm sorry you're feeling down. :(

My dogs definitely act differently when I'm depressed or anxious. Fred, the chihuahua, is on my schedule in general. If I'm up late with anxiety, he's pretty restless too. Scrapple lays near me when I'm sad. They spend so much time with us and they're very sensitive to the way we behave. I wish I could loan you one while you're feeling sad!
I know this is the dogs thread, but I had something similar to this happen to me with a horse. The first time I ran into one of the horseback riders where I ride my bike, I got talking to her for a second and her horse just started coming over to me on his own. And when I saw her and another rider they were saying they think he was a medic horse because he always gets upset when he hears babies cry. I have social anxiety, so that first time, I ran into them it started to kick in while we were talking, and now I wonder if her horse sensed it, and that was why he came over to me.
What I miss the most about not having a dog now is being silly in front of them. I used to do silly dances and noises in front of my dogs and they would sit there looking at me as if to say it's them that should be daft not me. The confused look on their faces made it even funnier and it was good stress relief :hugegrin:
Gracie gives some of the best dirty looks of any dog I have ever met. Like if I squeeze in next to her while she's on the couch, she will turn her head and just glare at me.

Aww thank you for sharing that. Horses are like big puppies at heart.

Molly-5.jpg

The two mutts I was talking about in my last post. Cody was always grumpy but loving dog and he soon got used to Molly (being held by my brother). A year after this photo was taken she was bounding off the furniture around him. Cody died about a year after this photo and I was with him when he was euthanised. Molly died barely a year later at about 2.5 years old from Leukaemia. I used to take her for walks but couldn't put her down because she hadn't had her jabs yet and she would look down desperate to have a run around. Getting cloudy eyes typing this.

{{{ Sending you bear hugs }}}

Aww, that's a shame. I'm glad you guys have each other.
I’m so glad I have him, he helped me through the hardest moments of my life. I can tell he’s starting to go. I think I had high hopes he would have a lot more time than he does, but he’s very old. I wanna give him the best summer I can. Cheeseburgers and CBD oil all around. We have to love these wonderful companions while we have them.
