Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

Hey, how’s Fred doing?
He’s doing good actually! I was waiting for the blood work to come back before I updated you guys. I got a call this afternoon that the results were normal so I’m very happy to say the least!!

After his fall, the hump on his back seemed a little tender so I was worried about him slipping a disc or something. The doctor said he’s fine, he just has like doggie arthritis in his spine.

They gave me a medicine called Carpofen that works as an anti-inflammatory but it’s not made for long term use because it’s hard on liver and kidney function. They needed the blood work to come back normal before we started it. I’m gonna give it to him on it for a week while he’s recovering from the fall, but that’s it.

He said if he still seems like he’s in pain I can put him on Gabba Penton. We’ll see how it goes but he’s up running around now!

tl;dr — HE’S OKAY!!!

Wonderful news Tribble. My mom was on gabapentin for a little while for her bad hips but it was making her mouth sore. Not sure if it might affect dogs the same way but something to watch for.
