Does anyone think Star Trek Legacy will ever happen?

I think Skydance are more likely to revive the Kelvin timeline as a long-form Paramount+ series.
By the time the WB merger dust has died down, two years will have passed and a sudden nostalgia for wanting to see Pine, Quinto, Pegg et all back again, and they'll be affordable on a TV show/streaming budget no doubt.

Stick a fork in the Prime Universe (or at least Alex Kurtzman's additions to it) for the time being. So no Year One.
They can always make a slight return for that Bakula United side-spin off, or Jeri Ryan Legacy as an event movie, in-between production blocks of a flagship show called Star Trek: To Boldly Go. Sussman and Matalas will probably find a new regime more receptive for their pitches.

Oh well, I tried.

Might as well say what I actually want from Star Trek, as they hardly ever seem to have any real clue.

Paramount+ can have my guaranteed all year round subscription for reviving a few months worth of ENT or similarly doing something Picard Season 3 style with the remaining 2009-16 movie cast.
As it is,I dip in for their Trek output and often bail out early before the run's even done.

Count me having absolutely no interest in a live-action comedy show...as a placeholder for actual real Star Trek. As good as Lower Decks may have been, it's a sideshow and its live-action equivalent wouldn't be what I'd sign up for either.

None of the various pitches we’ve seen bandied about are happening. The new bosses will have their own projects they want developed, they don’t want the leftovers from the last owner.
this is exactly what i think. they're cleaning house. They cancelled all of Kurtzman's shows. They have their own plans for Trek. None of these pitches will happen

And believe me, when they decided to cancel SFA, they weren't thinking, "Damn, we really should have made Legacy instead."
But to be a fly on the wall in a parallel universe where Legacy was made and got cancelled to because any currently running Trek show would have been ditched to make room for the new regime. The knots the matalas cult would have spun themselves into.

Great episode, but if TNG had produced ten episodes like it I imagine I'd be pushing "Parallels" into a box labeled "leave shut for the next few years."
